Has anyone been to Mahahual while 2 ships are in port?

What is the taxi wait and street scene like?

Once you find your way out of the port never had any difficulty getting a taxi to the malecon.

Costa Maya pier used to be able to handle, and often had, 3 ships in port.  Being expanded to handle 6 ships.

 

Most people take a tram from the port to the malecon.  Taxi stand just a little further away.   There are a couple of taxi stands along the malecon (one at Calle Sierra and one further down by the fishing pier, as I recall. But beach clubs will gladly call one for you.  Should not be an issue.

Yes we have, with more then 2 ships. There are so many taxis out of the port and we didn't wait at all. All charge just $8 one way trip to the beaches or downtown.

We were just there 2 weeks ago with 3 ships in port and there were taxi's and the shuttle bus waiting and it didn't seem too crowded.
