Rare FlyerTalker Posted September 10, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2019 Just remember....all airline tickets are NOT the same. There's more to a ticket than the airline, flight and times -- and a "discount" ticket is likely one that can be quite different. sumiandkage Posted September 10, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2019 Ask if the tickets you buy through them accrue frequent flyer miles. If they say they do not, it can(but is not always) be a sign that the company is buying frequent flyer miles from people with no plans to use them and then turning them into tickets that they sell to you. (Tickets bought through a bulk or consolidator rate will often earn a token number of miles, even if it's only something like 5% of distance flown) This selling and buying of frequent flyer miles is against the terms of service of every frequent flyer miles program and the airline has the right to cancel that ticket at any time. Even if you've already started the trip and that cancellation strands you in a foreign county, requiring you buy an expensive walk-up ticket to get back home. Zach1213 Posted September 13, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 13, 2019 Yeah I'm really confused about this...never heard of them, don't find them on Google. That certainly doesn't bode well for my opinion of them, but are you sure that's actually the name of the site?

Rare FlyerTalker Posted September 13, 2019 #7 Share Posted September 13, 2019 A couple of quotes from their website: Our objective is to show you sample fares and you should use our booking engine to check exact fares. we negotiate special fares with airlines that require us to hide the name of the airline. These tickets are also more restrictive than other tickets and are always NON-REFUNDABLE / NON-RE-ROUTABLE. The formal rule if you miss your initial flight is that you lose the entire value of the ticket. However, some airlines will make an exception and let you fly stand-by on that same day. This is at the discretion of the airline. In some cases, an UNABLE or UNCONFIRMED segment comes back from the airline. In most cases, this means that the class of service was oversold by the airline and their computer system recognized the error. As a result, the airline is unable to fulfill the request. This is a rare occurrence in the day of airline automation but it does happen. When it happens prior to the ticket being issued, we simply cancel the reservation and reverse the credit card charges. When it happens after the ticket has been issued, we can sometimes contact the airline and push them to honor the reservation. However, it is not guaranteed that they will. But this is the one that gets me....from the main page: AIRFARE PRICE GUARANTEE If you find lower rates on any other website, let us know within 24 hours after you booked on Airfare, and we will refund the difference. Our goal is to provide you with the lowest possible price However, when you go to their actual terms and conditions: Price Match Policy Airfare.com does not have a “Price Match Guarantee”. Understand that flight prices change constantly. So if you book a reservation online, agree to the price, and later find a cheaper flight Airfare.com will not match the price. Have you done any online research on Airfare.com? It might be worth your time. I did a quick search and found this site, about which I know nothing, but here it is. I imagine there are other review sites out there.
