Late Disembarkation Miami

Hello everyone. My wife and I are cruising around Caribbean in January (from Miami). I've noticed a number of threads regarding leaving the ship as early as possible but I'm looking for some confirmation on the opposite. Am I right in saying that if I leave my luggage outside the room the night before and then leave my room at the appropriate time, I can 'hang around on the ship' until the latest point people have to be off? Thanks in advance for your response :-)

We have done this.  Most things will be closed - bars, restaurants.  You can loiter around and people watch until last call,,,EM

They will be making announcements all morning encouraging people to leave.  Yes, you can hang out in public areas.  We had two trips this year plus info from others that they are really pushing people out sooner.  Our YC in March was until 10 but June they were pushing us out at nine.

Just off the Armonia today. Last disembarkation was scheduled for 10:00 am.  We were scheduled for 8:30 and they called us at 8:35, so they were pretty much on schedule.

Sometimes the disembarkation is delayed. We disembarked around 11 on our Divina cruise in February and lots of people were still on the ship when we left. I'm sure that the last people disembarked after noon.

Never done Miami on MSC but several on Celebrity. The authorities want a zero count of people on board and everyone had to be off by around 10 am .

MSC are the same a zero count must be given before any one is allowed to board so they want you off by 10.15-10.30
