Internet on the ship

Does anyone know about the internet situation on the ship.  I know there is Voom.  Is there any other options that maybe slower but not as expensive?

Just the two tiers of Voom: Surf (limited to about .5Mbps) and Stream (limited to about 4 Mbps).

FYI, Marc.  VOOM is just the name that Royal Caribbean gives to its internet.

But I thought I read they had a slower internet option that was free or considerably cheaper than $13 a day.

Nope, that's the "cheap" level.

 

But you can find it on sale sometimes.  Many people are waiting breathlessly for the Black Friday sale.  😉 

 

Another way that people minimize the cost is this:  Join the Roll Call for your cruise.  Four people will buy a 4 device package together.  That is generally the least expensive plan PER DEVICE.  One person purchases, gives a code to each of the other three, then those three pay him their 1/4 of the package price.

I don't believe RCI lists any speed with any of their VOOM packages - that as been established by several reports by cruisers.
