That's a shame, although not entirely unexpected. At this stage I just hope we can hang on to the 3 ships we have :)

@steamboats correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you mean cancelling the April name reveal, not the whole build altogether? I expect given the severity of the situation in Northern Italy it is probably on hold for the foreseeable future, though.

Yes, the name reveal event... postponed but no new date so far.

As I am original poster,  yes, unfortunately the announcement due in February  had to be postponed due to the events we find our self in.

It was postponed until April, however, I would expect that will be delayed further .

I doubt any announcement about proceeding further with any new Carnival let alone a Cunard ship will be seen before Q3 this year.
I can see the whole project on the back burner for quite a while until recovery of the industry (and us too) is stable
