6hrs to kill: Tour offerings at Port Miami?

doing a back to back so will have 6 hrs to kill.

rather not pay the inflated shore excursion prices from ship. (hm.. is $59 hop on/hop off a good price?)

 

are there any tour offerings at the Port itself?

if so, what?

I believe there is  a boat tour  from Bayside area   maybe one of the locals will post

Or skip the tours and Uber to South Beach for people watching, great dining, art deco architecture, beach, etc.

I would dump my luggage as soon as possible and head to South Beach for brunch.

 

Or take it with you.  I always see people on Saturday and Sunday dining with their luggage.

Maybe they are on the same ship so no need to take their luggage with them ??

um.. my OP did say im doing a back to back.

thought everyone understood that means  no luggage taken with me. it stays aboard for the next cruise.

 

i just have 6hrs to kill before the ship sails for the next leg.

You didn't say enough about your self.

Nor time of year.

 

If you like to walk, consider walking from the port over the bridge into downtown Miami.  You could then walk around the bay or even go to Bayside.  Another option is to do this and from say the Intercontinental which is right near the bridge after you cross i you could get a taxi or uber to take you to South Beach.  Walk around there and possibly have lunch and return via vehicle back to the port.

 

Or do just South Beach.

that depends on which terminal you're at . . . and includes a bridge to cross (hills) .... if summer in Miami remember it will be 9000 degrees with 100% humidity.

oh geez.. 1/2 mile and 2 miles is a huge difference.

i'm on celebrity silhouette and docking tomorrow but have no idea which terminal im docking at.

You should just stay at the port and walk around there.

Bayside for sure lots to see there. We also did the boat tour of celebrity homes very cool!
