Anyone on current sailing returning 12/15? Everything seem back to normal?

I am. No issues on this cruise whatsoever. They used paper menus for the first day or two, but now back to regular menu books. Other than rough seas as we sail back to LA today, it has been a wonderful cruise!!

My stateroom is on 13, the same as the medical center. It has been empty all week.

no complaints at all. The Joy is a wonderful ship and I am envious you get to stay on her next week. Go see Elements. It’s great.  Footloose was fun too.

have a great time!!!  And washy-washy!

I was off the Joy this morning in about 30 mins. No issues at all. Everything is completely back to normal including hugs with the staff as we left the Haven.

Who was the Concierge for The Haven?

And... How was boarding in San Pedro?

Last time we boarded San Pedro in The Haven it was a little bit discombobulated and we didn't get escorted on until well after they started boarding.

Dilip was the concierge. Boarding was not as nice as other locales, the Haven was split off from everyone else by screens. But we were the first ones onboard after the back to back passengers.

We just got off the joy this morning 12/15.  Honestly, one of the best cruises we have been on and we have about 20 under our belt.  There is so much to do.  We saw all of the shows and entertainment on board and had to work real hard to get everything in.  While Footloose and Elements were okay but not really memorable for us, the best entertainment in our opinion was the Beatles - Revolution. It was shown in the theater the last night of the cruise and it was exceptional.  We had seen the Paul McCartney impersonator earlier in the week do a solo of Yesterday and we knew right away that we had to go see them.  We did not want to see them in the Cavern as the venue is way too small and we were hoping that they would be in the theater and it was worth the wait. This Beatles performance was much better than the one we had seen on the Epic a few years back.  We enjoyed the comedians, the country and western band at Q, as well as the various singers/music groups that performed at the bars nightly throughout the ship.

Foodwise, we had overall the best dining experience I can recall.  Hats off to the chefs as we enjoyed some of the best combinations of foods.  Soups, salads, appetizers, entrees, desserts.  The food exceeded our expectations.  Lunch and breakfast items were equally satisfying. Same can be said for the drinks for those that get the drink package.  One of our favorite go to places was the observation lounge.  We liked the bar there. BTW the east west blended wine was under the $15 limit throughout the ship.  Recently several people had reported that the prices had risen so that the blended wines were not included unless you paid an up charge. Evidently for the time being this is no longer the case.

All workers on the ship were helpful and surprisingly more full of energy and friendlier than we had expected having  been overworked the past few weeks dealing with the noro outbreak .  The norovirus issue appears to be over on the Joy.  They are still taking precautions but we were not inconvenienced in the least.

Overall great cruise.  We would give it five out of five stars.

We were on the Dec.1 sailing on the Joy.  They kept scrubbing walls, doors, banisters etc.  If you went to a restaurant they had the hand sanitizer set up at the entrance. If you didn't use it you were asked to use it before they would seat you.  As far as what we heard there was no outbreaks on our cruise .
