CHICHEN ITZA BY AIRPLANE

Can I bring a DSLR on the Chichen Itza tour?  I cannot get a straight answer from NCL.

Why or what would be the reason for not being allowed to bring a simple DSLR camera? Just curious .......

Because I have read some of the Mayan Ruins do not allow them.

You have to pay a video recording fee at some of the ruins.  They aren't banned

I would assume if you are bringing a simple DSR, no issue. If you are bringing a professional setup with multiple lenses, etc, you might have an issue.

It's been a long, long time since we went to Chichen Itza, but we took lots of pics.  Only thing is, we had a little point & shoot.  If you can find what company is actually running the excursion, you may be able to get info on their website.  Sometimes in the reviews people will mention the name of the company.

Cameras: I had read that if you planned on using cameras, that you need to pay extra, but I never saw where I was meant to do that. When we got our tickets they never mentioned it and when I had my bag searched just before entering the park, they didn’t say anything about needing a permit, so I just went in with my cameras. I used my DSLR, GoPro, and camera to take photos and videos and I’m so glad I was able to capture the place in so many different ways. I even saw a guy with a tripod!
