NCL Breakaway or Carnival Legend- Mediterranean

We are trying to decide between these two cruises for our first, and likely only, Mediterranean Cruise. NCL is costs more, is it worth it?

Breakaway is a bigger ship and has the big ship amenities on it. It was also built a decade after the legend. 

 

NCL also likely includes the drink package in the price which I think is about $450pp on carnival. Carnival includes more things in their drink package, but has a limit on drinks per day. 

 

I'd likely go with NCL, but I want the drink package and greatly prefer any NCL ship over carnival.

I was mistaken. It is the Getaway, not Breakaway!!

Getaway and Breakaway are almost identical ships. Both are bigger and newer than Legend, both have NCL drink package and better entertainment. My choice would be NCL as long as the price difference was not astronomical.

As stated they're practically identical ships. But getaway is the newer of the two which makes it even newer than the legend. Getaway also had a drydock last year so a lot of things are refreshed. It does have a larger vibe than breakaway which took away some of public deck space.

Definitely Norwegian based on itinerary! That’s an outstanding itinerary for your one and only Med experience. 👌
