On board charges

I have read on here about being able to limit the amount charged on a cruise card that you are paying for.   On a cruise some time ago we had our 4 y/o DGD along and I had the PSD block all charges to her cruise card in case she lost it and someone tried to use it.  It would make sense to limit a cruise card charges for a child.  I wonder if this would work with my DW.  😁

Many years ago on the Grand my 12 year son arrived at our table in the DR for dinner one night proudly wearing a $700 ring he had just bought at the jewelry store with his cruise card.  😳

It was huge so he wore it on his index finger. lol.

We marched back to the store after dinner and promptly received a buyers remorse refund.

Next stop the Passenger Services Desk where a block was placed on his card.

I look back now and laugh. Not so much then.  Good times!!

Not sure if they can put a limit on purchases or not.

Thanks. GD1 never charges much. I'll get her a frappuccino pkg (gift 1 of my coffee pkgs to her card, buy unlimited internet, and of course cover gratuities) . GD2 would buy everything Stanley related if I couldn't block her. And there's a lot of Stanley stuff that she'd forget about within a month
