Celebrity Edge Drinks and More package

Sailing next month on our first Celebrity Cruise on the Edge. We have the premium drink package and saw an offer for the drinks and more package for $63 which includes 2 bottles of wine, $50 in casino free play, a wine tasting and minibar access. Has anyone done this before?  We are wondering if we can save the two bottles and take them home with us at the end of the cruise (the premium drink package is more then enough for us). We were already planning on spending about $100 at the casino the entire week so we view the package as $13 a person (that includes gratuity). It also comes with minibar access but can find what’s included snack wise in the minibar (that would be very useful for us).  Would we also be charged a service charge for each item/ liquor bottle we take from the minibar?

Yes, you can take the two bottles home with you. Most do just that.

There is no charge for the items in the minibar PROVIDED you both have drinks and more. I’m not sure what’s included, if it’s different than standard minibar, but in two weeks we shall find the answer!

We recently tried the drinks and more package on the Summit. It included 2 small bottles of wine, 2 Heineken, 2 Pringle’s, 2 kind bars....honestly we only opened one bottle of wine. We did enjoy the wine and food pairing that was also included. I also dropped the $100 casino credit into the slots. Enjoy!

Sailing on Edge tomorrow and we upgraded our PDP to the Drinks and More.  Being able to use the mini bar and not having to go to the closest bar if I want a diet soda or glass of wine is worth the small charge to me.  I see the $50.00 casino credit as an added bonus.

What is the wine tasting that comes with it?

It sounds like that might be the one thing that pushes the value beyond the cost.

The wine and food pairing included a tasting of 5 wines with small bites ( cheese, chocolates, salmon, olives) to compare the how the flavors paired. It was interesting ,

the sommelier was good. You get a notice in your room on day one with the date and time. Not sure what the cost is for this if you don’t have the “ drinks and more”

Some people say it's the same one offered to Elite Captain's Club members, while another couple passengers have had something different.  So it might just depend on the sailing and what they feel like offering.

We've booked it on Edge for our April 5th cruise because we had nonrefundable OBC.  My husband will use the casino credit, and I plan on eating $13 worth of Pringles and Kind bars 🤣

Thanks. It sounds like it's kind of a wash.  A bit of convenience with the mini bar, a bottle of wine that's no better than the premium package, and a tasting that may or may not be something special, and a $50 casino credit.   Since we're unlikely to spend the casino $ otherwise, I'm not seeing that it would be much of a plus for us.

What about if you are a solo?  Would the minibar be included?

My guess is yes. They say everyone in the room needs the package and don’t see the issue if it’s just yourself.

This is great feedback and just what I was looking for. It sounds like a decent deal for us since we can take the wine home. The rest is just a bonus since we were planning on dropping $100 at the casino.
