We had days 2 and 7 as formal, day 5 as casual/tropical and all the others casual. That was 8-night E. Caribbean on Adventure over Thanksgiving.
cb at sea Posted February 14, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2020 You will find that not everyone dresses "formally", so if you don't want to, that's fine. All they ask is for men to wear shirts with sleeves and shoes.

bonsai3s Posted February 15, 2020 #6 Share Posted February 15, 2020 Typically 2 formal nights or "dress your best"...usually on sea days. The rest of the nights will be casual or theme nights...white night, tropical night, etc. Some people follow the suggested dress code, others don't. Dress suggestions/codes are not really enforced. Wear what is comfortable to you...within reason. Happy Sailing! .. *

Casual attire for all 8 nights. On a "Dress your Best"/Formal night, you'll see a lot of hawaiian shirts (men and women) and a handful of shorts. Long pants usually means jeans or dockers. The cruise industry is evolving and the days of true formal attire are now past.

You can look for Compasses from the cruises immediately prior to yours. To find them you can do a search here on the boards, or post a request for them or watch out for live reviews. However, even if you do find them there's never any guarantee that your cruise activities will be exactly the same as the previous ones and this is especially so if you're on a ship that's not doing 7-night rotations.
