Hotel recommendation Galveston

Hello fellow cruisers!

 

Looking for a hotel pre cruise in Galveston for 2 nights, with breakfast included and able to keep our vehicle parked there while on the cruise.  We will cruising for 22 days.  Woo hoo!!  Our budget is around $150 per night.  A nice clean hotel with comfy beds, we don't need a suite or any other bells and whistles.  Looking forward to your responses.  thanks in advance!

Galveston itself is a tourist location and hotel prices are not cheap.  You may have to go with a hotel 5-10 miles outside Galveston.

 

If you search there are several articles around that tell you which hotels have stay and park options for cruises.

Hotel price will depend on the time of year. There are certain times when the prices are very low. A hotel I was looking at was $80 in early November and $200 in February during Mardi Gras. Summer rates will also be higher.

Check the Hotel Galvez Resort and Spa on Seawall Blvd. They used to offer free parking and a shuttle to the ship, don’t know whether or not that offer still exists.
