luggage tags

Can I have HAL send out luggage tags a few weeks before departure or is the only option to print them out at home? Thanks!

You can pick them up at the port too.   You have to write your info on them so take a pen.

The porters have markers to write in the room number.

If you booked with a TA you can ask them.

We don't have a color printer, so I save them to a pdf, transmit them to fed-ex kinkos and have them print them out.  Also, consider asking your TA to print them for you.  Did this for years until we switched to USAA travel.

I have never printed the tags with coloured ink and have never had a problem.

I see many luggage tags printed in b/w, no color, when I cruise.  Save time and effort and print them at home in b/w.

I agree.  When we are home before a cruise I print them in b/w and never had an issue.   Many times we are already on the road before HAL releases the luggage tags so that is when we get them when we drop the luggage.
