lovestocruise19 Posted February 23, 2020 Author #26 Share Posted February 23, 2020 I woke up at 7:30 a.m. after a horrible sleep. I looked outside and we were almost docked in Nassau. I heard some yelling and guess what? It was our lovely neighbors! At this point I thought, what, are they vampires? Do they not sleep? I went up for a breakfast of cinnamon buns and honeydew and brought two cinnamon buns back to DH in the room. We left the ship at 9 a.m. and walked to the Graycliff Chocolatier. We got a box of nine chocolates. DH looked for a T-shirt, but didn't find any he liked that weren't expensive. We got back on the ship at 10 a.m.

lovestocruise19 Posted February 23, 2020 Author #28 Share Posted February 23, 2020 I ordered a turkey and cheese sandwich with chips from room service. It came in about 15 minutes. We both went up to Lido at noon so he could get a Guy's burger and I got an ice cream cone and found a seat for the movie matinee of Toy Story 4. The movie was super cute. After it was over, I grabbed some cookies and a a slice of red velvet cake to take back to the room. DH was napping (shocker) so I ate on the balcony and read my book for awhile. I went inside at 3 p.m. to try to get in a nap, but it only lasted 30 minutes before I heard our loud neighbor talking and scraping a chair on their balcony. I took a shower and then watched sailaway from Nassau with DH from the balcony.

lovestocruise19 Posted February 23, 2020 Author #30 Share Posted February 23, 2020 (edited) I went to Pixels and bought an elegant night photo of DH and I and a solo shot of me that I bought for my parents for Christmas. After that, we went to Lido where DH got a Guy's burger for dinner and I ate at the Lido buffet. DH and I then split up. He went to Hasbro and family comedy and I went to the Dive In movie which was live action Aladdin. The movie was really good! Me sporting my new shirt! lovestocruise19 Posted February 23, 2020 Author #31 Share Posted February 23, 2020 After the movie, I went to the aft bar on Lido to get a Mocha Chocolate Getaway. As my bartender was making my drink, I heard a thump. I turned around and saw a lady flat on her back on the deck. A bunch of people ran over to her and my bartender called 911. She must have fainted. The doctor lady didn't take long to arrive and the lady who fainted was talking by the time I left so it seemed like she was going to be okay. It was scary! I met DH back in the room with my drink. I used my reusable straw that I brought with me since Carnival doesn't have straws anymore. We then went to the comedy show with Jaylyn Bishop. She was funny! The funniest part was when she hijacked a guy's scooter and started riding it!
lovestocruise19 Posted February 23, 2020 Author #32 Share Posted February 23, 2020 The next morning (Freeport) I had a 10 a.m. appointment for a pedicure. I was actually able to sleep since there were no issues with the neighbors that night. I had a breakfast of cinnamon buns and scrambled eggs. I had a sweet, bubbly girl named Raychell from the Philippines do my pedicure. I went back to the room after, but DH wasn't there. I was about to look for him when I ran into him in the hallway. He said he had been watching the lifeboat drills. At noon I went up to Lido and got a taco before watching the matinee movie, The Lion King. The sun was going in and out of the clouds and even though I had put sunblock on I got a little red on my chest. I liked Aladdin better than The Lion King. I got an ice cream cone and went back to the room. DH was there. I took my first successful nap of the cruise.

lovestocruise19 Posted February 23, 2020 Author #35 Share Posted February 23, 2020 We ate dinner on Lido again because there really wasn't anything appetizing on the menu in the MDR. We watched the string trio play a couple songs and then went to the family friendly comedy show with Jaylyn Bishop. She was funny PG rated too! We went back to the room to get my straw and then up to Lido where I got my last Mocha Chocolate Getaway of the cruise. DH got pizza. I read on the balcony for a bit. That last night we were going a bit faster and the seas were rougher so we snuggled up in the Carnival Comfort Collection bed. We love that comforter so much! One of these days we need to buy one for our bed.
lovestocruise19 Posted February 23, 2020 Author #36 Share Posted February 23, 2020 And that's it! DH says he doesn't want to do a short cruise like that again because he thinks it attracts the partiers, but I think we just had bad neighbor luck. Other than that, it was mission accomplished. Rest, relaxation, food, fun! That's what a cruise is all about. I wonder if there will come a day where we get sick of cruising, but I don't think that day has come yet. Definitely excited about the debut of the Mardi Gras, but will probably have to wait a little while longer for that until the prices go down. So far for 2020 we don't have any cruises booked! 😮 In fact, I booked a cruise for my parents for December on the Radiance, but not us. DH just got a new job so we'll have to see when we can get on another cruise. Until next time! Back in PC My new favorite morning juice! Fueling up! 1
happylittlefamily Posted February 23, 2020 #37 Share Posted February 23, 2020 Great review! I appreciate it since we are scheduled to sail Liberty in Dec. Totally bummed that you had bad neighbors. That surely drags positive energy out of the experience. We are going to be in fwd balconies 6260 and 6264. Where was your cabin?
capecruzer Posted February 23, 2020 #38 Share Posted February 23, 2020 Thanks so much, I love picture reviews and yours was great! I'm doing my first short cruise next week, three nights out of MIA to Nassau on the Victory because it was cheaper than getting a hotel in FLL for the three nights, lol. Rare Jamman54 Posted February 23, 2020 #39 Share Posted February 23, 2020 Great review and pictures! The Liberty is my favorite ship decor wise. Love the wrought iron accents. Hope you get to book another cruise soon. 😎

lasvegascruising Posted February 27, 2020 #43 Share Posted February 27, 2020 Your review was very enjoyable to read and great pictures. It sounds like you both had an absolute wonderful amount of relaxing and of enjoying everything the ship had to offer. Great job, thanks for taking the time to share. We started using a white noise machine at home just to block out stuff that would wake us up. Now, that machine goes with us when we travel. It really helps to block out noise from the hallway of the ship. I haven't had rude neighbors like that but the slamming door is annoying.

We also tend to do longer cruises and have yet to encounter the partiers, though we may have been the partiers last summer on Breeze....I hope not, but many of those cruising with us were a bit rowdy at times though they didn't keep anyone awake. We are sailing Liberty next month and it will be our sixth cruise on Liberty though our last one was 2012. Liberty has a LOT of fond memories for us. We booked the same room we had last time (Aft wrap on deck ) and will likely spend most of our time on our balcony. We have eight cruises booked, but Liberty is perhaps the most special of them all simply because of the memories we have on board. We sailed her when she was brand new and did a B2B on her in 2008. She was our favorite until Breeze came along. I remember a wooden 'Welcome Home' sign from the tender boarding area that I am really looking forward too; well not so much since it will be after Princess Cay, but I'll look for it on the way out the door. I can't imagine a day will come when I get sick of cruising....It's an addiction that I am content to remain in treatment for as opposed to being cured.
