Port or Starboard Western Caribbean

Hi All. We are about to book on the Oasis for Feb 21 on the western Caribbean route FLL- Cozumel-Roatan-Costa Maya-CocoCay. Which would be best- a port side or starboard side balcony? Many thanks in advance for the advice.

I agree as ships can dock with bow in either direction at these ports.

On all of my oasis class ships we find starboard side the side facing land or dock most of the time. It does matter to us. We prefer seeing the dock

I don’t think the previous poster meant the side didn’t matter, I think the poster meant for most ports you usually can’t predict which side of the ship will be facing land when it docks. I know from personal experience I am very good at picking the side of the ship that isn’t facing land, even though I prefer facing land like you do.

We did a b2b in January for western caribbean and first cabin was port side and we saw land almost everytime.    2nd leg of the trip we moved to a starboard side and saw land every port.    I am going to say majority of cruises starboard side is the better side for western caribbean cruises.    Either way you will have Fun!    Enjoy 🙂

While I book normally Port Side, it really doesn't matter since I am usually on the upper decks during the day unless in port, so will walk over to a side if I wish to see something.
