Sure, the question is would they do anything? Based on most reviews here, MSC did not respond positively to those that did complain about smoking on balcony.

 

It's not a deal breaker for me, but for those who may be extremely sensitive to smoke, you will likely find MSC ships much more smoker friendly than the competition.

That's a bummer, I have kids and can't stand the smell.  We know it kills us so they shouldn't be allowed to do to it anywhere.  I would be the person calling them ten times a day, in an hour even, to stop them, since it is against the rules.  Your rights aren' allowed to impede mine, which is kind of why we are in this mess now...

My past Feb cruise was the only time on a  cruise. I saw a person smoking in a public area that was outdoors, not a balcony. He put the ashes in his hand. Europeans smoke at a higher rate than the US so we shouldn't be surprised.

I do not know. My grandfather smoked a pipe, Union Leader. He stopped me from smoking as a teenager by recommending I start with 'corn silk'. It did the trick,. I stopped. My buddies would chew, it was so good I swallowed. That stopped me from chewing. Lucky guy that I am it never took hold.  To this day when an aromatic tobacco wafts my way I have nostalgic past memories, though I have to hold my breath walking through most casinos.
