MrsTocko Posted April 21, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2020 Ok- I will start off by admitting that I have NOT searched through the forum for this topic. Sometimes that can be like going down a rabbit hole in landing in wonderland...anywho...someone on the NCL board, at one point painstakingly compiled a list of the drinks that can be found onboard a Norwegian Cruise Line ship. This beautiful list contains the Name and listing on the ingredients in the drink. I downloaded it, went through it with my DH, we picked the drinks we would like to try and I carry it with me when we cruise, so if we want to try something new, we already have an idea of things we might like. So here is my question(s): We have cruised exclusively on NCL for the last 7 years, just based on price/itinerary...will my current drink "cheat sheet" work on Carnival? (are the names and base recipe going to be the same or close to the same) If NOT, or if not sure, does anyone know if such a compilation exists that is based on the drinks found in your typical Carnival Cruise line bar? if so, where can I find it? I am officially in Prep mode for my Thanksgiving Cruise. I believe that we will be cruising again then, and I can't wait... TIA
Joe817 Posted April 21, 2020 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2020 I assume you are talking about adult beverages that contain alcohol. Sadly, I know of no such list. When I found a cocktail that interested me, I simply googled it on our search form at top of page. Other times, I've simply googled...on google, the name of the drink. There are so many bars on a Carnival ship...any ship, that some do not offer the same drink. As you can appreciate, the list could be endless. amandajean06 Posted April 21, 2020 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2020 I don’t have anything like this, nor have I ever seen one, but what a great resource! I will be following to see if one turns up! We have a late October cruise booked and we hope/believe we will cruise by then as well! Safe travels to you and best wishes for health for you and your family. Rare ninjacat123 Posted April 22, 2020 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2020 Saint Greg posted quite a few menus from a variety of Carnival bars in his last review. Maybe you could compile your list from there? I like looking at what I can try on my next cruise as well☺️! Rare mdin Posted April 22, 2020 #9 Share Posted April 22, 2020 Not sure if this helps, but someone posted a link to a drink spreadsheet to help calculate prices on here a couple of years ago. Many of the drinks are listed.
movtarget Posted April 22, 2020 #10 Share Posted April 22, 2020 Current pricing on what YOU would drink is critical to evaluating the value of Cheers. Since that spreadsheet is older, you would need to update pricing. Although pricing increases over time due to inflation/market factors, it’s difficult to get good up-to-date pricing. So here’s (yet another) shout-out to Saint Greg’s info. This time his menu captures. They appear to be late 2019 or early 2020 menus with updated (increased) prices. Examples: 1) Atrium/Casino Bar menu has the Tropical Classics for 9.95 - I’ve seen menu photos over time at various price points from 8.50 to that current 9.95. 2) Wine by the glass moving from 9.50 to 10.75 over time for the Layer Cake Cabernet Sauvignon. Almost every category seeing similar incremental increases. Off topic: is there a way to “tag” someone you mention in a post? This is at least the second time Saint Greg’s information has been a topic of my posts. I have a running spreadsheet that’s not designed for public consumption where I’m doing something similar. If I would have bought 2 beers, 2 wines, and 2 bottled water per day, I would be at break even for Cheers (considering I bought during the 20% off sale, with additional savings for 12% gift cards). Movtarget in NC I did a massive update to that page after I got back from Panorama last month. Most of those menus are from Panorama. Joebucks Posted April 22, 2020 #12 Share Posted April 22, 2020 That "new" Cheers evaluation sheet floating around is seriously out of date. That is partially why it is hard to find anything "official". Things change, and people love to complain that it isn't what they "saw or expected". Kudos to Saint Greg for probably being the best resource out there for this info.

movtarget Posted April 22, 2020 #14 Share Posted April 22, 2020 This is an attempt to do a cut & paste from my spreadsheet for current drink prices per category (effectively March 2020 - most likely Panorama, assuming all ships have the same pricing): Beer (Craft) 6.75 Mixed (Trop Favs) 9.95 Wine 10.75 Alchemy 10.95 Spec Coffee 3.75 Bottle Water 1.25 Spiked Coffee 6.5 As a note, surprised Alchhemy hasn’t increased Movtarget in NC
