If I book online, can I switch it to my PVP

Been debating about booking for a casino deal I received.  Balconies are getting scarce on the particular cruise.  Only cove balconies left.  If I book tonight on my own, can I switch it to my PVP tomorrow after a phone call?  Would hate to take away her commissions.

What is the purpose of a pvp when you already have the cruise booked?

No, once you book the cruise, your PVP doesn't get credit for it. They're still there to help you or do anything you want them to do in relation to that booking, but what's done is done.

We took advantage of one of the sales Carnival ran last month and booked one ourselves. It was a Sunday night and I don't like bugging our PVP on his off time, especially during all this madness when they're extremely busy. The sale was ending if a few hours, so I went ahead and booked it. I talked to him a couple weeks later (to book another one) and he noticed the other one in the system. I told him why we booked it without him, and he said he wouldn't have minded if I called, but by then there was nothing that could be done. I understand you wanting to give your PVP the booking, but the way I see it, you gotta do what's best for you.

Thank you! That is exactly what I was asking.  I will give it until the morning and try to reach her.  I know they must be struggling financially too. She is a little new to me as my former PVP must not work for carnival anymore, but she has been pretty good about getting back to me. I will give her the benefit of the doubt.

If you have the email of the pvp shoot one off to her.  My pvp has called me on Sat/Sun (she works m-f) and after her "working hours" during the week if I send an email requesting a casino deal/certain cabin when she is not working.    I have her CCL work number and her cell #, which she sends to me in every booking confirmation.  If you do not have your pvp's contact info, ask for it - I am sure she will provide it to you, as it is money in her pocket for booking you!

If I see a deal like that, I’ll usually put the room on hold for 24 hours if I’m afraid the room I want will be taken. I can also text my pvp and give her the option of calling me back. I only do that for a new booking, not for making changes.

I put my cabin on the 24 hr hold, I think it is a 48 hr hold,  also.  Then I email my pvp and tell her I have a cabin on hold and need to book.  She gets back to me really quickly..

Yes, it is a hold for 48 hours and not 24.

How do you put a booking on hold? I have not yet found that feature.

Go as far as you can before clicking on "book this cruise " and attempt to close the search. A prompt window should come up asking if you would like to hold the cabin for 48 hours. Click yes and follow the prompts.

Thanks, I'll try that.
