monsterl Posted April 30, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2020 Yes, MSC also has tight budgets. Today, the OBC compensation of € 100 / € 200 (depending on the length of the canceled cruise) was eliminated in many markets (including Germany, Portugal, France, Spain etc.). 😑😔
Rare travelberlin Posted May 1, 2020 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2020 Thanks for this information. Do you know starting when this compensation has been eliminated? MSC cancelled our Gran Voyage around March 16th and we were supposed to receive this compensation but up to now, we do not have anything in writing. cruiser man 60 Posted May 1, 2020 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2020 It's because they are now giving 125% FCC instead which will be worth more.

If you are in a position to take advantage of off peak deals it might, a lot of cruise prices have gone up, some by more than 25% in effect cancelling the FCC bonus. We have been watching a couple of cruises to replace the grand cruise to Japan and notice the price moving upwards, which you would expect if people are using their FCC's. cruiser man 60 Posted May 2, 2020 #5 Share Posted May 2, 2020 Hi Phil, we we were supposed to be on the grand cruise as well, hoping to use on Rome to Dubai on seaview mid November. Reasonable prices but whether it will sail, who knows?
