Yes, it applies to existing bookings for voyages between June 12, 2020 and April 30, 2022..

Cruise With Confidence

Azamara’s “Cruise with Confidence” program allows individual guests and guests in non-contracted groups who booked a cruise on or before 1 August 2020, for cruises sailing between 12 June 2020 and 30 April 2022, to cancel their cruise up to 48 hours prior to the vacation start date and have the option to either (i) receive a Future Cruise Credit equal to the full amount of the cruise fare the guest paid for their cruise, or (ii) move their booking to an eligible alternate sailing and receive our “best price guarantee” for the alternate sailing, or (iii) opt in for our “best price guarantee” on their current sailing.

Thanks, Bonnie, that really helps in making our decision.

Hi John1970,

There is some flexibility since as you say most of our itineraries are unique. Basically we require the alternate sailing to be similar in destination, length and season of the subsequent year.

The specific language from our Terms & Conditions for our new Cruise with Confidence are: "“Eligible alternate sailing” means a booking in the same stateroom category sailing with Azamara on the same product (itinerary type) and cruise length (+/- one sail night), scheduled within four weeks before or four weeks after the date of the original sailing but in the subsequent year. For those sailings, Azamara will protect the guest’s original price and/or promotion so long as the guest moves the eligible booking to the alternative sailing on or before 1 August 2020.

Thanks very much Bonnie. It's nice to have options. I am still hoping our three sisters cruise in early October will happen.

Bonnie - a bit off topic but we're booked on Pursuit July 6 British Isles starting in Dublin. In looking at Ireland's plan to re-open it doesn't look like hotels or pubs will be open before our scheduled departure date so it's not looking good for our cruise and/or flying into Dublin.  Do you know when Azamara will make it's next announcement re: cancellations?

Ireland Plan to Reopen

I haven’t heard. Though I’m sure this is foremost in the minds of our senior executives.
As soon as anything is announced I’ll let you know, though often other CC members get wind before I do!

There will be more news about what will happen in the UK on Sunday but we are still "locked down" with only essential travel and no socialising until the end of May.  The current thinking is restaurants will not reopen before mid July so if there was a cruise, the onshore services would be very limited.

Thanks for  your update. I look forward to an update after the news on Sunday.

We are booked on a cruise in October this year and are considering using Lift and Shift to move to a cruise next year instead.  We are in the US and used ChoiceAir to book our flights.  We already paid for the flights when we made our reservation.  I don't see how ChoiceAir is handled when using Lift and Shift.  Does anyone know if we would be refunded for the flights, and then just rebook new flights later, or how this would work?  I would call Azamara, but wait times are crazy right now.

You should send a query to AzamaraCustomerService@azamara.com.

I am afraid it does not look good for you, or anyone cruising around the UK this year.  This is not in place but is the direction the government seems to be taking -  two weeks quarantine for anyone arriving in the UK from overseas

Thanks for sharing. We're resigned to the fact that we won't cruise to the British Isles and just wish Azamara would cancel it now so we can get in line for a refund.
