Will The Glory Sail from New Orleans in September?

So, I am on the Glory September 6th, 2020 and my final payment is due Monday. So would like some opinions on whether or not the Glory resumes sailing out of New Orleans by Sept 6th? I can switch my booking to Galveston on the Vista for a similar week and almost the same price, but i really do prefer the Glory. Any thoughts would be great.

Nobody can really answer that question now. I know they are currently planning on having NFL games with fans in September. I don't know it that'll be a full stadium or not. But they're not ruling that out for New Orleans. American cruise line river boats are going to be cruising before then. They frequent New Orleans. I think if we're cruising out of Florida and Texas in August we'll be cruising out of New Orleans in September.

Really hope so. Was on the Glory this past January and really enjoyed the layout and of course the Adults only Pool. I am going to ask for Carnival to extend my final payment until either they commit and say they will be cruising in September or that they are canceling.

They are only saying about a month in advance. I'm booked august out of Galveston and on pins and needles, but I doublt carnival will say until the later part of this month. I doubt they will extend payment until they are sure, when they dont know themselves, but maybe you can extend some ? Doesnt hurt to try. My final payment was due this week for a short august cruise on dream. I went ahead and paid it rather than take the the chance of getting canc for non payment.

Well their current position is that they are cruising. That'll be their position until they cancel. If they cancel. If the august cruises go off as scheduled that'll be a good sign. But  you won't really know until that first cruise leaves from New Orleans.

I think it all depends on whether or not the CDC extends the No Sail Order which is set to expire at the end of July.    I know Carnival fully intends to sail in Aug and is working on putting safety protocols in place.    If CDC lets the order expire, I would say there is a good chance.    If they extend it, definitely not.

So Carnival extended my final payment to August 1st, hopefully by then we will know if it is schedule to sail or not. Cruise scheduled for September 6th

Wolft927 - Did they do that on their own, or did you request? Just curious.

We're set to sail on the Freedom on September 6th out of Galveston (my birthday!)  If you like the Glory better than Vista (I agree!) you might take a look at that cruise.  Freedom is the same class of ship.
