It certainly can’t really be described as champagne! 🤣

Hi ellie1145,

It’s great Champagne!! I went to the boiler room on a Tuesday night just to purchase 6 bottles of the freshly made ones to take home. The boys only charge me $5.00 What a great deal. Happy Happy!!! 😁😁😁😁

Wow, Tony! You certainly got a bargain there, so if you have a couple of bottles to spare could I have them as I need to clean my bathroom? 🤣😉

The Final Day

We wake and look out of our balcony at the ocean. It’s the perfect way to start the day, and I never tire of watching the changing face of the sea.

We join our second trivia team in the Vista Gaming Lounge for the morning session, which has an Australian theme. We feel quite pleased to get a couple of questions right, but thankfully our team mates are Ozzies so they know most of the answers. Unfortunately we have missed the 50% Off Last Chance Crazy Blow-Out Sale where ‘selected pieces have been slashed for clearance.’ 🤣

We make our way up to the Buffet for a late breakfast, and find that there is an amazingly Spooktacular Display of Halloween desserts in the Bakery. It is an extraordinary presentation from these talented pastry chefs.

After eating we decide we’d better go back to the cabin and do a bit more packing as we have to be ready for our final round of Progressive Trivia at 12.15 pm. We get there early and grab the best seats at the front where we can move the chairs so we can huddle to discuss the answers. We do well and think we have scored around 17 points, so we think we are in with a chance. But there are still lots of teams left in the game so it’s going to be close.

We decide to give the 1.00 pm trivia a miss as it’s on Aussie Anthems. I’m afraid our knowledge of Aussie Anthems is very limited - Once a Jolly Swagman, I Come From a Land Down Under and Waltzing Matilda is the extent of our knowledge so we go for a walk round the ship instead.

So here are a few more photos of lovely Majestic Princess.

Hi Ellie,😉

The last day of any cruise is hard, but knowing we have some time in Sydney and Singapore before the reality of going home will help ease us back to reality. I always try to do most of the packing early in the day so we can be out and about or relaxing and enjoying the sound and smell of the sea on the balcony as much as possible.  One thing I want to do today is take a swim in your private pool.... don't worry, when you get there I will be gone and it will be your own bit of paradise before dinner.

We have spent a few Hallowe'ens on board and love seeing the crew dress up and enjoy the fun of the day. Like all holidays, the carving are exquisite.

Ellie,   love the Halloween pastry pics.  They all look very edible.  Did you talk to anyone on your cruise; who also were away from home as long as you and your husband.  30 days is a long time.

From what I recall our last day on the ship was very low key.  I did spend some time on the balcony and wandered around the ship enjoying all of the decorations.  And sadly we had to pack all of our treasures back into the two bags we brought - thankfully it all fit.

We peaked in one of the dining rooms that was open for breakfast.

And one that wasn't.

I’m glad we are not flying straight back, Gail. As you say, it eases us into the reality of being back home.

Now please feel free to enjoy my own private pool. In fact, I invite all of you Cruising Adventurers to a dip in my pool at 6.00 pm tonight. Just pop on your cozzie for a final get together. The captain has given me Carte Blanche to invite you all to the Hollywood Pool.

As you can see he has made sure we have plenty of fresh towels...... he’s so thoughtful!

Great photos, azbirdmom, as usual. I particularly liked the dining room photos as we didn’t go there on the last couple of days as we were too busy. I had no idea they decorated the dining rooms like that. How amazing! Aren’t the staff wonderful to do all that when they work so very hard, especially as it’s the last night.

Great pictures as always, we have done Disney Florida at Halloween, now I have to do a Halloween cruise!!

They certainly did a fantastic job, especially as it was the last night and staff were busy sorting our luggage and getting the ship ready for the next cruise. 👍

We meet up with our second trivia team at 3.00 pm in the Vista Gaming Lounge for Halloween Trivia and learn a bit, remember a bit, and forget a bit as usual.

Then we make our way to Vines Bar for the Progressive Trivia Presentation. We are thrilled to come second as we were up against some tough opposition. Second is definitely better than third. We say a sad farewell to our wonderful Trans-Pacific team mates and wish them a safe onward journey. They have been great company, and meeting new people is one of the joys of cruising.

We just have time to watch a little of the Princess Pop Choir and Ukelele Concert, which is brilliant as usual.

Then we dash to the dining room for our final afternoon tea and are surprised and pleased to see how many of the staff are dressed up in Halloween costumes. They really are fantastic. We savour each moment and thank the wonderful staff for having taken care of us so well throughout the cruise.

I hope the captain sends some Champagne for us to toast to a great virtual cruise!! Some canapes would also be welcome🍾

Loucat, there will definitely be champagne and canapés.... The real thing, not that bottled toilet cleaner they give us when we win trivia! 🤣😉

See you all there, at 6.00 pm! 🏊‍♀️

The saddest photo.....

Back to our cabin we see preparations are underway to remove all the luggage. It’s hard to believe it’s all coming to an end as beautiful Majestic Princess feels so much like home. But how lucky we’ve been to enjoy such an adventure.

What an amazing sunset..

Back in our cabin, after a fantastic swim, (and a great farewell

get-together with all the Cruising Adventurers, where the champagne flowed and canapés were eaten), it seems that Mother Nature is giving us one more sensational sunset to remember her by.

As we stand and watch, DH and I count our blessings.

Ellie,   love the Halloween pastry pics.  They all look very edible.  Did you talk to anyone on your cruise; who also were away from home as long as you and your husband.  30 days is a long time.

The pastries and desserts were delicious, AF-1.

We didn’t actually talk to anyone who had been away from home for so long, but there were some back-to-back cruisers, who were on the previous cruise, so I guess they would have been cruising for more than three weeks. Some people were staying on for the next cruise which, I believe, was to New Zealand.

Hi Ellie,

Congratulations on winning second place in the Progressive Trivia! I think all of us (The Cruising Adventurers) should  raise a glass of the  better champagne to you and your team mates for a job well done! CHEERS!!!!!!🥂

You and azbirdmom have great Hallowe'en pictures. I think the crew like having this opportunity to entertain the guests.

Gail

As many have commented, Halloween cruises are unbelievable.  Especially if you take part and dress up.

Any of the theme type cruises are some of our favorite times on a ship.  If you haven't tried one, you definitely should consider doing so.

The mystery is how do they transform an entire ship over night?  And the amount of space to store the various theme decorations (Christmas, Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc) must be massive.

Most of it isn't stored on the ship.

We've seen the Christmas decorations going up and down. They're brought on the ship (and removed) by an outside company that does the decorating during the cruise before the holiday starts.
