Rare WNcruiser Posted July 22, 2020 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2020 (edited) All cruises, except Australia, cancelled through DECEMBER 15th. https://www.carnivalcorp.com/news-releases/news-release-details/princess-cruises-extends-pause-select-global-ship-operations I applaud them for being proactive, let’s hope this is the last pause! jennybenny Posted July 22, 2020 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2020 Well, Can't say I'm surprised. I wish they would have cancelled through the end of the year! Just pull off the band-aid, this slow roll is killing me. I wonder if Alaska will happen next year?

I’ve been down there twice since they reopened. There were many smokers outside smoking who said they won’t come back because of the non smoking and non drinking in casino. Just_Westy Posted July 24, 2020 #5 Share Posted July 24, 2020 I can't see any cruises operating out of Australia this year given Covid19 cases are increasing.

The way Victoria is going, we may never see a cruise ship again!

The larger issue is there are very few countries US Citizens are likely to be allowed in to for the foreseeable future! Smaller operations like river cruises in some European countries will be restarted by then but any large ship that relies upon US citizens to board are not. We added one million new cases in 14 days and there's no sign of the virus slowing down. It is going to be well into 2021 if not later before we will be allowed back in Europe and other countries.
