Sky Suite-Reflection

Can anyone confirm Sky Suite cruisers can order from the MDR or any other restaurant menu?  This would be in addition to the regular room service menu.  If so, will our butler provide daily menus?

On the Silhouette in February, we ordered breakfast a number of times from the room service menu and found it to be quite good.  However, dinner once from the room service menu had to be the worst meal we have ever had to endure at sea.

You can order room service dinner from the MDR menu from soup to nuts.  Your butler will bring it to you.  I'm not sure if they post the MDR menus on the TV or not.  🍷

Actually people in any category stateroom can order dinner from the MDR during MDR operating hours.  Maybe lunch as well on sea days.

Technically you can't order off any other menus although sometimes upper suite people report they have been successful with special requests.   In a Sky Suite the only think I might politely request is if I wanted something from the Luminae menu but would expect to be told no.

With any special request of the butler the more notice the easier it is for them to accommodate.  Communication is key.

In suites it used to be that the butler would serve course by course but lately have heard they tend to bring it all at once.  I'm sure the butler could obtain the menu for you or it's on the app.  The menus for all restaurants are usually in the Retreat lounge as well.

Totally agree.

Butlers look after several rooms. They are busy people and good communication helps them to plan their work load.

If we want something ‘above’ basic service (like food served course by course) we will arrange with the butler 24 hours before. If we want a lunchtime snack off the standard lunch menu we will simply order and expect it all to come together.

OP you may want to invite your non suite friends to your suite for a sail away. If you do you can organise with your butler some simple cold snacks to be delivered. Again just ask him about 24 hours before.

Lack of communication can be a problem. For example, if you request a daily evening snack (cheese plate, fruit plate, shrimp cocktail) your butler will happily bring it. He will also on request bring you afternoon tea. However, some guests don’t request anything but then feel ‘hard done to’ when chatting with fellow guests that they haven’t had anything delivered!

OP on boarding let your butler know exactly what you would like and listen to his suggestions too.
