Very hot but this one is a little more famous than Beram (they have two giant car parks at the bottom of the hill to fit the hordes of visitors😂) Move about 17kms north west

Nailed it🥳 We visited early in the morning before the crowds came in so we got parking at the top and didn't have to wait for the shuttle. It was also nice to walk the streets while they were empty. Unfortunately a lot of the shops were still closed but one truffle shop was opened so at least we got to try the famous Motovun truffle which because of the season was the black one🤗

I wouldn't have got it without the truffle and carpark clues. There are a lot of very similar looking hilltop towns in that part of the world, plus the only time I've been to Croatia was to Dubrovnik on a cruise. I'd love to see more of the country but probably won't get a chance now. We're getting too old for big land trips.
