We have a booked the Pinnacle suite On Koningsdam and would like to know all the perks we get .Thanks. We are very excited to stay in this lovely suite 7053.

While they may vary a little by Hotel Manager and Neptune Lounge crew, they are very service oriented. A search of the board finds many discussions on Pinnacle Suite threads:

Basically the perks are the same as for the Neptune Suites.  One exception is being escorted on board.  There have some that have received a ship’s tour, etc.  These additional perks vary by ship and HD.  There may be no additional perks at all.

One of the things that HAL has promoted over the years is that they have no distinct "classes" of cabins or passengers with a few exceptions, like the Neptune Lounge for the Pinnacle Suite and Neptune suites and suite receptions.  There are a few things like Mariner status that provides certain perks too, independently of what cabin you happen to be in, but the word "class" hasn't been used for years.

 

Even with the introduction of the "Orange Club", which can be likened to a "class", they have avoided the use of the word.  I think they felt they needed to compete with RCCL and NCL and their "classes" of cabins and passengers but still wanted to avoid the idea of "class passengers".  JMHO

We have been fortunate that all of our cruises on HAL have been in the Pinnacle Suite.  Although it does vary a bit by a particular ship and cruise, here are some of the perks we have usually found.

 

• Personal escort on-board at embarkation, and you are usually the first to board.  On a couple cruises we have had a lineup waiting to greet us in our suite consisting of the hotel director, a ship officer, the concierges, etc.
• Free behind the scenes ships tour - bridge tour and personally meet the captain, engine control room, laundry room (the one staffed by the crew that does passenger laundry and linens), food and supplies lockers (amazing how much food is on board), kitchens, crew dining area, officer's lounge, dressing room areas behind the main stage and often meet an entertainer/musician, etc.  This tour is always one of the highlights of our cruise.
• All non-alcoholic drinks in the mini-bar are free.  Also, in most HAL ships there is a large refrigerator in the butler's pantry that is much bigger and much better stocked than the normal in-room mini-bars.  However, we have not been on the Koningsdam and, unfortunately the one in the NS was the smaller fridge, so this might also not apply to you (but the drinks were still free).  Other things in the butler's pantry for you to use:  microwave, toaster (sometimes), large assortment of fine crystal and silverware.
• On our first meal in the MDR (we usually do it on embarkation day lunch), the dining room manager always asks us to pick the  table (usually, the one with the best view) we want for the entire cruise and he reserves it for us.  This includes for the Mariners Lunch where you normally can't make a reservation.  Sometimes that happens to be a 6-top table, but there is no problem reserving it just for the 3 or 4 us in the suite.
• The Pinnacle Suite has an elaborate (and unfortunately complex) sound system.  For example, you can direct sound into any room including the speakers on the balcony; great for listening to to the commentary on a scenic cruising day while being on your balcony.
• The most important thing is, if you want something, just ask for it.  We have found that the concierges in the Neptune Lounge go out of their way to make the Pinnacle Suite guests feel special by servicing any reasonable request.

Sail...a little over simplified. The HM and the Neptune concierges are always doing little things here and there, offering extras, etc. Its not as simple as what is on the website.

Agree this is pretty standard.

We did not receive this either time in a PS.

We were charged for our non alcoholic drink both times we were in a PS.

Not in our case.  But, we had fixed dining.

 

We have only been in a Pinnacle Suite twice and as I posted earlier, your mileage can certainly vary regarding perks.  All the non listed perks are not consistent on every cruise.  At least, not in our experience.

 

Now, that being said, I agree the concierges and dining head do try to accommodate as much as possible.  We usually did one  Course by course dinner in the PS with a group and always enjoyed the service as well.  In fact, we were encouraged to do it 😄

On one of our stays in the Pinnacle, we requested a table for 2 at the MDR, fixed seating. The first night, we were walking to our assigned table when we saw a note on the waiter's station saying "Table 24 (our assigned table) PH (Penthouse) pax". It was a table for 4 used for us as a table for two for the entire cruise. It was a window table...probably one of the best tables in the MDR.

 

We have received the behind the scenes type tour as Pinnacle guests. We have not received free alcohol, other than the welcome aboard champagne, and suite cocktail party given others at the Neptune level. We have had meals with the Captain and other officers and staff, but we understand that rarely happens anymore.

 

Agree that perks vary by ship, HM and Neptune Lounge personnel. Yes, there are some pretty standard perks, but each ship adds or enhances different things.

It is ridiculous for me to attempt mentioning all of the  nice little (or not so little extras)we enjoyed through all those years and cruises,  as Neptune or Pinnacle suite guests !

 

No  reason for anyone or everyone here to expect the same 'extras'.

Here is a photo of the official HAL card that is usually in the Pinnacle Suite room (at least in the last few years).  Here are some things listed on that card for the Pinnacle Suite that Neptune Suite guests do not get:

 

• Private behind the scenes tour
• Complimentary bottled water and soda drinks throughout the cruise - this is the free non-alcoholic drinks in the mini-bar that I mentioned above
• Professional binoculars - you actually get two pair:  1) a huge one mounted on a tripod.  We didn't like these but the tripod is nice for taking photos using your SLR camera.  2) smaller Bushnell one that is the best binoculars we have ever seen so that we even bought one for ourselves.
• Upgraded bathrobe - they have told us on the ship's tour of the laundry room that the Pinnacle Suite guests get unique bathrobes that are different and even better than the Neptune Suite.  I'm not sure if this is true, but they are nice.

If you aren't getting these things, you need to ask the concierge why not.  Our last cruise on HAL was September 2019 and we got all of the above.

You will love it!

 

We sailed that cabin on our 13-day Adriatic Cruise last Summer (June 2019).

 

All the info above pretty much parallels our experience.  As mentioned the perks are pretty similar to Neptune Suite guests with a few differences.  The differences we appreciated were: boarding with private escort, private behind the scenes tours (we split these up onto different days),  complimentary waters and non-alcoholic beverages in the butlers pantry and the bathroom!

 

Suite perks for both Neptune and Pinnacle we appreciated the most on this cruise were: Club Orange dedicated dining room (loved it), concierges are awesome, priority tender boarding,  complimentary laundry and dry cleaning service.

 

For the K-Dam and NS there is only one PS.  I believe it is similar in size to the ones we sailed in on the Eurodam & N. Amsterdam  but the layout is different.  On the K-dam (and presumptively NS) the common area (living room and dining room) seems smaller and more broken up,  the bedroom seem a little smaller to BUT the bathroom is much bigger with and awesome shower and spa bathtub that overlooks the balcony.  Additionally the walk in closet is bigger and easier to maneuver in than on the Eurodam and N. Amsterdam.  Overall I think we like the new layout better.
