I take out the relevant details. Restart with the Viva Treasures confirmed for 3 June. Start for the Andorinha on the Douro confirmed for 22 May.

 

All other ships' first sailings are planned or under review.

 

Negative PCR test needed for all international sailings.

It's official in Canada now (US site had info up earlier), Avalon has cancelled all cruises through August 31.  

 

I feel for those who are sailing with Uniworld and can't get any answers...I'm hoping that if everything works out, Europe will be ok for tourists in the fall, and by next spring be ready for the massive influx.

Oh that is such a pity. I really thought that August would see things getting better. The uncertainty must be too great for Avalon.

 

I do believe Uniworld is not making many friends at the moment.

 

And, yes, many ships full of Americans next year. 🙂 We will be ready.

 

I need to be careful not to spontaneously hug the first tourist who consults me, I think.

Just talked to Avalon -- the Canada postponement has nothing to do with America; they're still planning their first cruise July 20 and then August departures. Reasons have to do with their third-party arrangements in Canada that they don't have in U.S. We're still ready to go on August 11th.

Scenic and Emerald Cruises will restart their Europe season with sailings on Portugal's Douro River beginning in late July.  Uniworld will be restarting in Italy on June 18 and France on June 27.
