Does it have suites and a suite lounge?😀

Definitely, but more reminiscent of those in European hostels than those aboard Celebrity! :classic_biggrin:

I don't think it's for sale is it?🤔😁

Yes and no. She was originally to be decommissioned a decade ago, but her replacement has yet to be built. Originally expected to be in service by 2017,  the CCGS John G. Diefenbaker has been significantly delayed. With global warming, there may no longer be a need for her if the procrastination continues!

I just read a little bit of the story about the replacement for the St. Laurent. I knew the non combat ships were supposed to be built here on the west coast, I also knew there seemed to be a lot of promises from Ottawa and very little work getting approved. Our Navy needs support ships and they are years behind. No surprise a large ice breaker has been shelved seemingly indefinitely,

Having lived in Ottawa and Halifax for most of my life, I've also been very conscious of successive governments' seeming inability to meet the needs of the Navy and the Coast Guard. Sad.

My job (which I completed), prior to retiring in 2010, was Project Director, Polar Icebreaker Project.

I had hoped to be invited to the christening ceremony by now!

With Seaspan and Davie still fighting to be awarded the contract, with no start date decided, let alone a completion date, you won't be the only one disappointed. :classic_sad:
