USNA 72 Posted January 18, 2021 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2021 Found this description of Royal Class ships on CC; but, its a bit dated. We're scheduled to sail on Majestic for first time in 2022 and would greatly appreciate any updates/corrections/additions anyoe may have. Thanks, Greg https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=4077

Thanks, Greg https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=4077 IMHO the best thing they did to update these ships is adding the Medallion service. What are you looking forward to most on the Majestic that would have you asking this question?

Noodle bar? CC article appears to contradict itself regarding rainbow water show. I assume some things will be or have been changed after being redeployed from Asia to West Coast. Mostly looking forward to friends and family cruise to Alaska. Particular ship is nearly irrelevant. We do have a mini suite with the angled balcony and friends are traveling with 2 adult daughters in wheelchairs so any insights here would be appreciated. Royal Class ships balconies should be called french balconies. 2 wheelchairs , maybe not.
skynight Posted January 18, 2021 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2021 The Majestic was originally built for the Asian Market. When it moved to Australia the VIP Gaming section was modified to a Bar/Lounge and some other changes were made. There probably will be additional changes if this is for the American market. The Majestic has the Hollywood indoor pool and the Hollywood Conservatory. These are not available on other Royal Class ships. Cabins are basically the same as other Royal Class ships. Most cabins have small 9ft x 4ft balconies. There are some with larger balconies which are shown on the deck plans. This may help.
