Has anyone on a Hawaii cruise that has changed from from San Diego to Long Beach received the promised email? We were supposed to get this back in January but I haven’t received one. It was to state the new itinerary and reduced price and promised $200 OBC. I see the itinerary changes on my cruise manager but no change to price or the $200 OBC.

Ours show a small price drop $27.00 and $200.00 OBC in the cruise manager. Have not received any e-mail.

Did not notice this on the San Diego itinerary. There’s a fuel supplement added to Long Beach.

Here is the email we got at the end of January. Our price was reduced and the additional on board credit shows up in our cruise manager.

Dear Carnival Cruise Line Guest:

As we continue to refine our phased in approach to return to guest operations, we are modifying our plans as circumstances evolve.  As a result, Carnival Miracle’s planned seasonal service from San Diego has been suspended until further notice.  Sailings out of San Diego that were available for sale through April 2023 have been cancelled, except for Carnival Journey cruises to Hawaii between November 2021 and February 2023, which will now operate from Long Beach as 14-day cruises departing one day later than originally scheduled.

We recognize this requires a change to your vacation plans, so in addition to the adjustment in your cruise fare as outlined below, we are pleased to offer a US$200, per cabin, onboard credit so that you can enjoy some special treats on us when you cruise.  This credit is in addition to any existing promotional credit.

We are in the process of updating your itinerary and here’s what you need to know:

Our team will be doing all the work so there is no need to call us. We expect the work to be completed by February 26, 2021, at which time you will receive an email confirmation with the new homeport, revised duration, finalized itinerary, and onboard credit.

You will receive a 1-day pro-rated reduction in your cruise fare, and your taxes, fees and port expenses will be adjusted accordingly. Pre-paid gratuities and pre-purchased beverage and Wi-Fi packages will also be adjusted to reflect the shortened duration.

All pre-purchased items such as Carnival Vacation Protection, gratuities and Fun Shop items will automatically transfer with you.  Any pre-purchased shore excursions, including Faster to the Fun will be cancelled and refunded to the original form of payment.

If you decide this does not work for you, a request for refund will be honored until March 31, 2021, by calling our contact center or your travel advisor.  After that date, our regular fare rules will apply to any further changes or cancellations.

We ask for your patience as there may be a time between now and February 26, 2021, that neither our team nor our travel agency partners will have access to your reservation as we process this change.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support. We look forward to seeing you on board just as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Christine Duffy
President, Carnival Cruise Line

Nope...no follow up email for us either, but we noticed the updated change on the Carnival website, so we called our non Carnival TA who stated they got the update.  We decided not to cancel, so they updated with the $200 OBC and reduced the price by $160.  They also moved the sailing date back one day........

Did a little more research. The #27.00 was only the gratuities being reduced. Called this morning and got the full reduction. Came to $213.86.
