tandgandr Posted March 22, 2021 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2021 We (3 generation family of 12) will be on Carnival Miracle for Thanksgiving 2022. We felt early dining was best with kids. We like MDR (we actually like the food), and we like the entertainment of the staff and the fun atmosphere, and all the people. Is it possible to request a certain table location? And if so, what would be the best location to be able to see everything?
Rare lazydayz Posted March 22, 2021 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2021 For that size group, I would just be happy if everyone was assigned the same table. But if you have a choice, I would say center of the lower dining level. The Miracle’s dining room is very unique, gotta love the grapes.

jakeT Posted March 22, 2021 #4 Share Posted March 22, 2021 I have seen Carnival set two tables together for big familys. I think you must ask for this in advance of your trip. Don’t really think this is a big deal for them
mondello Posted March 22, 2021 #5 Share Posted March 22, 2021 I am pretty sure they have always had their hands full shuffling people that were waitlisted to change between early and late dining. I don't think it would be easy to move a party of 12 after seating assignments are made.

There's a chance that all the way aft by the windows they could set up two rectangular tables of six by the windows if you like. This is a table for 8 in a Carnival main dining room. It gives you a good idea of what they can do in that area for your group. Edited March 22, 2021 by sanmarcosman
Tiger0613 Posted March 22, 2021 #8 Share Posted March 22, 2021 I don't remember which ship or ships, but I was put at a table for twelve at least once.
Rare mexicobob Posted March 23, 2021 #9 Share Posted March 23, 2021 A few years ago on a cruise to Alaska we were a group of 12. They arranged tables together or something to make it work. We of course, requested this seating many months in advance.
