Crown Princess

It's been a while since we have been on a Princess ship. Does the Crown Princess have outside chairs on the promenade deck overlooking the ocean? We know that there are plenty of chairs in the sun by the pool but we like to sit in the shade overlooking the ocean.  Many of the newer ships have taken the chairs off the outside promenade deck. Thanks for your help.

Plenty of padded chairs. Tip -  turn the chair sideways to avoid the constant flow of walkers at your legs.

Great tip!  It's tiresome to always have to tug my long legs in to avoid walkers!

We've never sailed on a Princess ship that didn't have chairs or even loungers on a few ship with wide Promenade decks. If they've done away with those it must be on the newer class of ships. We've yet to sail the Royal or anything newer. We're hoping our 2022 cruises on Sapphire Princess sail and we can enjoy our larger Caribe Deck balconies. We will definitely find some time to sit on the Promenade Deck and relax. Our first cruise was on Sea Princess and we were disappointed when we took our second cruise and found out not all ships had that really wide Promenade Deck. It was nice to have those wooden loungers with the pads and still have plenty of room for the people to walk the deck.

All Royal Class ships lack a walking promenade deck. The Royal & Regal have 4 promenade non shaded patios on deck 7, 2 mid ship and 2 aft with padded lounge chairs. The starboard aft patio is a smoking area. On the Sky, Enchanted and Discovery the mid ship patios are Al Fresco Dining areas. Not sure about the Majestic, but believe the promenade is the same as the Royal & Regal.

All Grand and Crown Class ships have a full covered promenade with padded deck chairs.

The Island and Coral have wider covered promenades with lounge chairs.
