Never have a problem getting early  seating with a 2 top  when we are in B cabins

I find the lounge  a waste   I would rather go to Barristas for decent coffee /snacks

It also depends on the length of the cruise.  On a shorter cruise it will be more difficult getting what you prefer in the specialty restaurants.  We've been in A level and PH and there were definitely more options when we were in PH.

This has been my experience only.  YMMV

Yes I guess a 7 day would  be a problem

We usually do 12 + day cruises

Oceania  usually hold back  tables for each level of bookings

We are not tied to a specific day  except once when onboard for our 40th anniversary  & still got a 2 top

We asked for one of the aft tables in Polo  as were sailing out of Bergen that day

YMMV

Length of cruises and particularly number of passengers aboard. I was on a 12 day Marina cruise with ~800 aboard. Extra reservations were plentiful for all. I was on a 15 day Marina cruises with over 1250 aboard and extra reservations for anyone below PH was near impossible to get. There were a lot of guaranteed reservations to be filled every night. Normally for cruises longer than 12 days extra reservations are easy, but fill the ship to the max and things change quickly.

Once sailings resume, if all these cruises are actually waitlisted full to capacity, I believe the dynamics on several issues will change from what we thought we knew from the past. I have upcoming 20 day R ship cruises where we’re guaranteed 3 reservations in each of the two restaurants. If those ships are actually full extra reservations will be hard to come by, even if we wanted them.

I think the sailings for this year will not be full capacity  I could be wrong  but 🤔

I am fine with 2 seatings in each

I like more variety in the offerings

I have my favourites  & after that I do not need  to eat in the Specialties  again

Of course there are those that need to eat there every night of their cruise

YMMV

I agree. I was referring to whenever capacity restrictions are lifted.

I will add another detail we don’t know. One of the lines was talking about when they return to operations with reduced capacity, that the crew size would also be reduced to maintain the historical guest to crew ratios. Crew members would be added as passengers are. Furthermore, Passengers shouldn’t expect all the venues ( restaurants) to be open every night.

We’ll just have to wait and see how NCLH/Oceania opts to manage it during those 50-60% reduced capacity periods.

My wife and I have been on 11 NCL cruises from regular balconies to the Haven. For our 30th wedding anniversary we are thinking about booking the Oceania Riviera for a 10 or 12 day cruise Jan - February 2022. We would probably book a concierge level veranda for the sole reason it gives us access to the spa deck. Dressing for dinner on a cruise to me means wearing khakis and a button up. Is this acceptable or is it more along the lines of a jacket and tie?

Thanks

Oceania is "Country Club" dress code.  Nice khakis and button ups are fine.

The easy way to do the math is to add up the four most expensive non-OE/OS tours; if they don't total $533.33 then you won't save with O-Life [assuming you are booking enough tours to get YWYW].  After that, just count each and every tour at 75% of the list price.

I’m curious about this YWYW you speak of. What is the process? Do you pick your excursions first, and then choose YWYW if that is the best deal? Or do you have to sign up for YWYW first, and then pick your excursions? How does one sign up?

The excursions for our next cruise open up at the end of this month, so I can’t really see yet exactly what will be available. Just thinking ahead, really.

Others who know Oceania better than I can correct me, but I don't think there was any sign-up.  Once I added the 6th excursion to my cruise the discount automatically showed up.  I did have to choose that column, but the prices were already there.

What was confusing was the way my $400 O-Life OBC was applied to the excursions.  I haven't yet figured out what will happen when I cancel an excursion that was paid with OBC – will they put that to one of the other excursion and refund my credit card, or stick me with non-refundable OBC that I can't use?

If O cancels an O Life tour once you’re onboard, a $100 non-refundable SBC credit will be added to your account at the end of the cruise.

When you start selecting your excursions, the 25% Your World Discount will automatically calculate as long as you meet the minimum quantity.  If you have a question about excursions and charges, just call Oceania and a Specialist will help you through it.
Have Fun!

It's not an 'O Life tour' by your definition.  I took the O Life OBC option [remember our discussion?  I'm the oddball where the math just didn't work for O Life shore excursions], and they charged this tour to the OBC – $156.75 based on YWYW discount.  The question is whether I'll get the refund to my credit card [which has been charged hundreds of dollars for 5 tours, several of which will be cancelled if DIY is allowed].  If not, I'll probably have to cancel ALL the tours and start over.

To the best of my knowledge, all adjustments onboard go to your final bill if to pay off balance due or refund remainder IF it can be associated with refundable SBC (e.g., TA provided).

FWIW, all balance charges on your account will first be paid by non-refundable SBC. So, unless you have a balance due, cancelled items you paid by CC will be refunded to the credit card used or you can opt for cash if you settle up the night before disembarkation.

What ever was paid for with your O Life OBC  will go back to you onboard account  as Non Refundable

If part was paid by you  I believe  that portion will go to your CC if cancelled before boarding

If cancelled  onboard it will go to the OBC account  & be refunded  on the last night  if the portion was refundable
