Onboard, I will sometimes offer a small tip or gift to the cabin steward, and possibly the dining waiter at the end of the cruise, once, if, and only if, we have had exceptional service. Not because I think I should, have to, or that it results in better service, its just because I like to say thank you.

 

I don't concern myself with the business around what about the engineers / ship's company who I can't see - without them the ship wouldn't sail mullarkey - that's Carnival's issue, who just need to pay their staff the necessary rates and then ask me to pay the necessary fare.

 

If I don't get at least average service then I will say something.

Don't be a cranky pants.Tips are included now on P&O.
