Here are a few noted regarding our cruise.

Overall experience....excellent!

The ship is still new and in immaculate condition. We were told that our cruise was half full and it felt like it. No waiting for elevators or lines for dining.

Celebrity has taken hygiene to a new level. There are cleaners everywhere sanitizing handrails, door buttons, elevators, tables/chairs etc.. They even have cleaners

stationed outside the public "facilities" and they sanitize between guests!

Our check-in was a breeze. We got in the Retreat line at 12:05 and were seated in Luminae at 12:45.

We ate dinner at three specialty restaurants. The Steakhouse was fine but the extra fee was not worth it. Raw on 5 was good; the seafood tower was exceptional.

Our favorite was Eden, hands down. A unique menu and you can watch the "artists" prepare/assemble each course.

Luminae was outstanding. Marco and his team are very professional and will do anything to make your dining experience special. One night, my wife didn't

fancy anything on the menu and when she mentioned this to the waiter Jose, he immediately rattled off several dishes not listed. She chose the Filet Mignon

and it rivalled the same meal at the expensive Steakhouse!

The shows were well done though playing to a quarter filled theater must be tough, especially for the comedian and the illusionist.

The staff were all genuinely happy to have us onboard: being around so many smiling faces is contagious.

Due to a foot injury I picked up a week prior to the cruise, we didn't get off at any of the 3 ports. We did hear that most things were closed in Nassau.

Comments and observations.

The Edge's Martini Bar sadly does not have the same vibrant and boisterous atmosphere we have enjoyed on the S class ships.

No bar service in the theater before the shows, we quickly learned to BYOD.

Very little shaded areas on the pool deck, including the Retreat pool area.

Our intent on this cruise was to relax and enjoy some pampering; the Edge met all our expectations.

I too was on this cruise and agree with most of your impressions. I loved having the reduced capacity. At first I was concerned that it would discourage meeting new friends but it was quite the opposite. We made many new friends and had a fabulous time. The ship was gorgeous and the service was beyond excellent. I could have done with more shaded areas in the retreat section as it was very hot. As far as the specialty restaurants we were disappointed that there were no live performances during dinner at Eden. I think they should have mentioned that had been discontinued when we reserved it. But it wasn’t a big deal, the food was interesting and we still had a nice evening. Our friends ate at Fine Cut and were disappointed. The room service breakfast wasn’t great so we either got up earlier to eat breakfast at Luminae or elsewhere. We felt that the premium wine tasting was not worth the $94 price tag, nor was the enhanced drink package where the mini bar is refilled. But these are very small things,  and I mention it only if people reading this post are considering buying these add ones. None of it bothered us or prevented us from rating this cruise a 10 plus!!! So happy to be cruising again and to be with Captain Kate and her excellent staff.

I m still pondering the Drinks & more...factoring in $50 casino credit (which I'm going to spend anyway) it is $21.40 more for 2 bottles of wine & a $29 wine tasting. Truly not bad.

I don't drink reds or chardonnay...good shot the bottles will be that.

(I did get 10% off my upgrade from classic to premium...otherwise It is only $13 more for the 2 bottles & wine tasting.

Not worth it for DH...he doesn't drink wine.

I'm a sucker for a good deal...

I thought it would be a good deal too, and maybe it is. But we found that we could get all sorts of drinks at the many bars on the ship so we never got around to drinking the wines that were included with the upgrade. (Which were a red and a Chardonnay btw). We did go to the wine tasting that was included but found it lacking. I am not a foodie by any means, nor do I know much about wines,  but I have been to other wine tastings where you get a cheese platter at least. Still the $50 in casino credit was spent, and if you are actually going to drink the wines that are provided, then it is a good deal. If you do wind up purchasing the package I hope you enjoy it and you have a great cruise

I figured I'd take the wine home. Yep, figured a red & Chardonnay...

Have done some large wine festivals in town which is where I discovered my penchant for NZ Sauvignon Blancs (Italian & French are good too); spoke with a Chilean vintner who explained climate is why the flavors vary from CA & Chilean Sauvignon Blancs.

I'm NO wine snob. I sit here drinking $3 Winking Owl pinot grigio from Aldi..

But for $10/day I can get my NZ SBs nightly. WORTH IT.

Sounds like Drinks or more would be a wash at best...hmmmm....

I like the NZ SB also. If you can take the wine home then its worth it. We were flying with heavy bags so that didn't work for us. We wound up giving the wines to some people that were driving home.

Question (and for any others who have cruised the Edge in a suite so far this year): Did your butler bring you afternoon snacks? Ours only did once, as opposed to all our previous suite cruises. We were gifted with brownies upon boarding at noon (with our wine), a glass the second day, an insulated mug the third day, a box of charcuterie the 4th day, and a photo the 5th day. a weird rubber round disk (too small to be a coaster) 6th day. Nothing the final evening. Just curious whether this is still suppodsed to be a suite perk. Thanks.

My Butler brought me swag and wine.  I think there were brownies one day, too.  But, I requested no “snacks” be brought to the cabin as in the past, they would go uneaten.  He complied.

Embarkment X-Ray personnel are only looking for more than two bottles of wine in a carry on, they don't check names against room numbers.  If there are multiple X-Ray machines active consider each going to different line; if there's only one, ignore your significant other when in line.  This worked for me for my previous X cruise out of Seattle along with other cruise lines that weren't X.
