petuniaflower Posted July 19, 2021 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2021 What is the safest/easiest/cheapest way to do Atlantis day pass on your own re transportation (as Carnival not offering it right now)...we have never been and would like to know how to get there, and how much time to allot to return to the ship, will be for 5. Thx
jenny368 Posted August 6, 2021 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2021 Book a room for the day at the Comfort Suites on Paradise Island. You get access to all the Atlantis amenities for the day (they are right next door).
mjkacmom Posted August 19, 2021 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2021 There will be taxi’s lined up, used to be $4 pp, there will be taxi’s at atlantis going back to the port, about 15/20 minutes unless bridge traffic.
Denise&Paul STL Posted September 9, 2021 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2021 Note that last time I did those taxis (pre-covid), it was about $4 per person to get to Atlantis, but they charged double for the return trip and smiled big.
cos24 Posted September 9, 2021 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2021 If you book a room at the comfort suites and the check in time is at 3:00 pm will they still give you the bracelets for Atlantis if you arrive at 9:00 a.m., before check in?

Yes, you can even check out then if you want.

Pellaz Posted September 21, 2021 #8 Share Posted September 21, 2021 PLEASE double-check with the Comfort Suites to make sure they still offer Atlantis access for cruise guests. I'd heard that Atlantis access had been restricted to guests staying two nights or more to reduce the number of cruise passengers who take advantage of that (amazing) perk. For groups of 3 or more it was THE best Aquaventure deal going. If they DID change the requirement, I have to assume it's something Atlantis insisted on, rather than Comfort Suites. They made a killing on it. As a sidenote, I highly recommend the Comfort Suites if you decide to stay for a few days on Paradise Island. It's cheaper than staying at Atlantis, the rooms are nicer and bigger, you get a good, free breakfast buffet (hopefully not a victim of COVID), free wi-fi, etc. And you really need more than a few hours during a cruise-stop to see all of Atlantis, The Dig aquarium, the Predator's Lagoon tunnel, etc.

vjmatty Posted September 26, 2021 #10 Share Posted September 26, 2021 I think the only way to get into Atlantis now from a cruise ship is to book day passes directly through Atlantis. I know Aquaventure is $150 pp and gives you entrance to the water park and beaches. Dolphin Cay and all the other sites are extra.

Mickey527 Posted September 29, 2021 #12 Share Posted September 29, 2021 When I was in the Bahamas on my last cruise in 2019 we took one of those tour boats over. It was $5 and they pushed tips so we gave $2 each. There was the “captain” and one “crew member”. ( brother, friend???) The crew gave a nice tour as we drove by all the houses telling us which celebrity owned it. He also gave some history of the area. I enjoyed it and thought it was much better than the taxi we took before.
bearette Posted October 1, 2021 #13 Share Posted October 1, 2021 (edited) Check the Atlantis hotel price too. It has been cheaper so maybe better than a day pass. Edited October 1, 2021 by bearette

It also includes The Dig, which is the largest saltwater marine habitat in the world. After you get your wristbands you can enter from the Royal Towers lobby (bottom and to the right, it's not well marked) or the entrance facing the lagoon. Don't miss the Predators' Lagoon tunnel, which is most easily found by going to the Lagoon Grill -- round "shell" building -- and down the spiral stairs there. I'd love to book Aquaventure for our upcoming cruise, but our port times are 7 am - 3:30 pm, and the pools and slides don't open until 10 am. And 11 am for The Current (not-lazy river) and the Power Tower slides. 😮 I'll be flying there in November and staying at the Comfort Suites (of course), so it will be interesting to see what's changed. I got 4 nights and airfare through Hotwire at a price I couldn't refuse.

We’re in port 7am to 6pm on the Oasis so it may be worth it, but I’m also considering a day pass at RIU next door from Atlantis instead, for a more relaxing sit around on the beach and by the pool type day. AlohaLivin Posted October 4, 2021 #19 Share Posted October 4, 2021 (edited) Anyone know about passes for MLife and/or Ceasar’s members these days? At least day passes. Heck, I really am just interested in the casino. I did not like Nassau the first time I went when I was nine years old in 1969 on a cruise ship and I haven’t really liked it sense. But it would be something to do! Edited October 4, 2021 by AlohaLivin

Still, for any cruiser who books Comfort Suites in advance for one night, double-check with the property and make sure it includes Atlantis/Aquaventure before committing to it. What's even funnier is that ALL of the pools at Aquaventure close promptly at 5 pm -- might be 6pm now before the time-change. So, if you're staying at a resort noted for all of its water theming, you can't go for a relaxing evening swim! 🙂 The lap-pool over by the fitness center and Dolphin Cay ("4 lanes, no waiting!") closes a bit later, but it's not that close to Aquaventure. Contrariwise, the "secret" hot-tub located "above" the Mayan Temple pool near the exit from the Jungle slide might not ever close. No-one came to kick us out as of 8:30 pm. 🙂 This is all based on my last visit in 2019 (my 5th consecutive year at Atlantis, courtesy of Comfort Suites). On some visits I've unofficially "hired out" to cruise-line guests at no charge to help them find stuff. 🙂 Some of the signage there is sorely lacking. 😞

And our casino or any other won’t take much for me because I’m not gonna put much out there (not compared to what people spend on alcohol for sure, since I don’t drink I have a little more spending money 😂) Edited October 4, 2021 by AlohaLivin
