If you go back a few posts, they paid $116 for 2 people (low 60 and low 50 I assume means their age.

It's for a cruise to bermuda, so probably a 5 night cruise, not sure.

Thanks - I see it now.  I think it gives a good point of reference.

Do you mind posting what you paid for it and how long is your cruise?  That would give us a ballpark figure and help us to compare.

Paid $2100 for a 1 week cruise to Bermuda, passengers are 62 and 54 residents of Vermont, insurance was $116 purchased within a week of booking from insuremytrip.com.

I don’t think it is glaring that she was vaccinated and still got fatally ill. None of the current vaccines available has a 100% efficacy rate.

NO vaccine has a 100% efficacy rate.

One way to reduce the insurance cost is to not insure the cruise fare/trip cost.

If I buy travel insurance for a trip and put in $0 trip cost, it runs about $35 (66 year old male).  If I put in $500 trip cost, it goes up to about $50.  More than $500 trip cost and the insurance price goes up a lot.

I figure I have budgeted for the trip and paid for most of it.  So if I miss it, I will be disappointed, but I will not be in dire financial straits.

However, medical and med evac costs could run to the hundreds of thousands.  And that would put me in a bind.

Back in 2014 my mother had a medical issue on a cruise while in port in Halifax.  Med evac to Washington DC area was $29,000.   Plus hospital fees in Halifax
