Well, there you have it. Now all ships going to the Bahamas and US Virgin Islands until end of November (or somewhere abouts) must be vaccinated. Guess at this point all ships heading out of Florida are off the hook for requiring vaccine cards, because it is now a destination requesting it. Kinda wondered if something like this would happen. Not complaining on my end.

Thanks for posting the news link.  Good and it's logical, common sense if you think about it.  Cruise lines sailing have no choice but to comply.  It's a matter of reaching out and communicating these critical & important updates to those booked on upcoming sailings

IMHO, we are still somewhere in the "eye" of this pandemic storm, especially with all eyes on the Delta/Plus variants and C.37 Lambda.  I expect - other popular cruise destinations currently open abroad are probably going to reset their benchmarks and raise the bars, so to speak.

Well, - we are know that there are other means of enjoying a vacation, not just staycation.  Our bags are being packed as we feel safe enough for a stay with our land resort this Sunday - but, if things look worse in the next 48 hours, we can cancel without penalty - tracking the path of tropical storm "Henri" forecasted to turn into a hurricane.

Happy, safe and healthy cruising for all.

I agree.  An increasing number of international destinations are going to be restrictive by only allowing entry to those that are vaccinated.  Can't blame them in the least.

In Italy now you have to show proof of vaccination/recovery/negative test to enter some restaurants, bars, movie theaters, museums and other places of interest.

As it should be.  Hopefully that practice will spread worldwide...including in the US.  The safer we can make cruising (and life in general), the better.

San Francisco enacted a similar requirement starting today.  Not much push back.

Applies to, among others, Indoor Restaurants, bars, club, gyms, theaters, bowling alleys.  You can enjoy some of these things outside, however.

Negative test or self -attestation of vaccination will not cut it, according to the San Francisco Department of Public Health.
