What some aren't understanding is that if the cruise is already paid for and one person doesn't show up, the solo traveler is paying full fare.  If it's $100 per person, $200 for two and it's already paid, no one is going to be looking for you to pay more.  It's already paid.

And again, you don't need to board together.  My sister and I travel from two different states and have never boarded together on casino offers or any offer.

After reading through everything on here and other places, I have decided to "see what happens'  I am going to show up at the port and see what happens when I try to board.. if they require more money at that point, I will make that call then.  We shall see what happens.

So my wife and I always have cruised together.  We booked a Sept cruise, simple 4 day with one of the Casino offers that she was sent - she always get's the best deals.  We just found out that her work is requiring her to be some where else and she can't go on the cruise, but I still want to go.  Will it be an issue if I just show up at the port to go, even though the rate we paid was based on her?

Yes, but how well do you like your couch?

yeah, but that’s not the situation here. The cabin is actually $100 per person. But to get a gambler on the cruise they extended an offer to only have to pay $25 pp. when the gambler doesn’t show up to take the cruise they are stuck having sold a cabin for $50 to some they normally would have charged $200 to. That’s why it could increase the fare.

I hope you go and have a good time.  Show your ID for boarding and no one will even ask where your wife is...

I don't know how they do these things.  My wife always has booked our cruises but i have always played and lost more money in the casino than she does.  I use my sail and sign card all the time in the casino but my guess is that since she "booked" the cruise, she gets the credit for the casino play.  If i had to guess, I spend 3-4 times the money and time in the casino than she does but she is the only one of us that actually get's offers.

yeah, who knows. Since you are admittedly a gambler they may be thrilled to have you onboard with or without your wife. I personally don’t gamble at all. So if your wife and me booked the cruise and then she didn’t show, they probably wouldn’t be happy to get me a cabin for $50. I don’t think anyone on here really knows what will happen. But as long as you are driving to the port and are willing to turn around and drive home if it turns into something outrageous, no harm done.

Do you play table games, and your wife plays slots? If so, that would make a difference.  Does the email/postcard that your wife receives with the casino comp offer have a host listed?  If so, you could email/call and ask why you don’t get any offers.

Please come back after your cruise and let us know how it went.

Have you ever logged in with your past guest number?  If not, give it a try - bet you have offers and don't even know it.

Nooooooooo kidding !!🙄 IF it were me, I'd come home, walk in the drop my bags on the floor to an EMPTY house, even the frig ice trays would be GONE ! (If even the frig was left). So, don't fall for that 'old' ploy/ Ranks upthere when the misses ask, ' Honey, do I look like I'm gaining weight ?'

He is on board now.  Maybe he will want one of us to do a drive by for him to see if the house is being gutted?

So wanted to do an update. I am currently on the Breeze.  Didn’t have any issues boarding and only was asked about my wife one time during the process.   Wasn’t an issue at all.

Good for you man. Way to beat the system!

As a follow up, would you report back if your wife gets more casino offers?

Have a great cruise!  Too funny they didn't bat an eye about the invited person not boarding.

It happens quite a bit with casino offers.

They don't care as long as the cruise is paid for.  If you pay for 2 and only 1 goes, they still get their money.

I guess, but in my case, sometimes all they get is taxes and fees, which they refund.

So wife here, all went well, the cruise terminal called me and asked if I was going to be there by 2:30. I told them no. That was it. No additional charges and I picked him up from the cruise terminal and brought him back home safe and sound. Still married, no hard feelings or anything. I’m leaving on Halloween for a 6 day solo on the dream so I can see what solo cruising is all about. This one too is a casino offer. $100 with $100 OBC plus drinks on us.
