We’ll rain turned out to be a figment of my imagination, no rain not one drop. Now great weather next 10 days.

Wow ohhhh wow.   Well if we can't have rain the least we can get is our mild weather with warm days and cool nights.  I just saw on KPIX that we had a small earthquake last night around 5pm in Hayward.

When I experience the heat and humidity of the Caribbean I really appreciate our weather so much more.

Jim, thanks for the info.  I guess with probable cancellations we should think maybe 1050-1100.  But I think the suites are all or mostly sold…

enjoy the rest of your sailing, as we will enjoy the rest of your posts.  Thanks again.

Nancy

It's a good time to play the upgrade came.   Lots of cancellations and you never know what  you may win.

It is really a different dynamic from the last cruise.    Oceanview this morning was deserted but thought we would grab a light bite for lunch at AquaSpa at 1:00.    At that time of day the food area is usually light.    There was a line to get food, so we went to Luminae.

The back room where we dine only had 3 couples in it and of course as usual we were the last to leave.

It’s so interesting how each cruise has its own “personality” depending the mix of people on board.

We were just at the Solarium and we had an entire area to ourselves right by the windows! The pool area also was pretty light; I mean there were people but tons of “prime” loungers available which would never happen on a full cruise.

That’s good news about increasing the stores.   I tried using an Asia Amazon but I thought the credit card address might be being used to disallow the port authority address as I used VPN to move my “location”.   It was just strange.  I had a neck fan that security liked I decided too late to just give her mine as I believe she had left the ship.  I’ll see her again, I’m sure I was just frustrated.  I forgot to consider a gift card to get around the address!

That is always a good option.    I bought the Grand Kids Amazon Gift Cards inside little tin Christmas Tree ornaments for Xmas.   They loved both.

I noticed that.      The main pool seemed to be a common spot today.   Maybe because the winds are pretty high on the track deck.

We noticed that too! Translates to a nice breeze on Deck 11 on my balcony (where I am at the moment).

I have to say we are spending much more time in our room this cruise.   I'm thinking of trying out the spa on the patio this afternoon.   Get those binoculars out!    LOL

Have I missed the pics of your patio? Was wondering that last night.
Enjoy your afternoon!

Jim,

Please post multiple pictures of your verandah.  That will help me manage my expectations of the PS verandah after the M class suite verandah.  As Karen and I often say, once you’ve sailed in the PS it is hard to ever go back.  At least we have 33 nights already booked in the PS so lots to look forward to.  Enjoy every moment.

Jim-

It sounds like you and Gonback may have provided the perfect almost-non-poolable tip for that one special crewmember!

LOL!  Sounds like a good plan! I’m still enjoying the quiet of my balcony; Russ loves an afternoon nap, so he’s resting while I’m out here. Beautiful day; temperature quite comfortable in the shade; would be a good day to try out the patio spa!

On Equinox, Celebrity has rally been good with their staff.    They have been doing curated bubble excursions for staff to beaches and the crew have really enjoyed the time off  the ship.   I believe it is both nationality and position dependent with a sign up for a limited number of slots.

No photo ops with Captain and Crew but the Senior Staff is out and about and very approachable.

good to know.  Over on RCI thread one of the casino guys was able to get off on the Coco Cay private island and he was full of such GLEE

I agree with both.   Like Russ I took a nap after lunch.     Beautiful day for a soak and bubble bath.   Bubbles mostly because Iain pulled out his camera.

It worked for us and wasn't even questioned  when I turned it in.   Many of the crew thanked us personally.

Was this ship originally supposed to do Nassau? We are on the Oct 29th 9 day sailing and it is still listed as a port for us.

Yes we were originally scheduled for Nassau on the first day.   About a month before the cruise they cancelled the port due to "continued port repairs" and we have 2 day at sea and then 2 days in Aruba.

No complaints from me.

So thanks again, Jim.  Nothing like current first hand experience to inform!  I owe you for 3 improvements to our future cruise experience now!
