The outside seating was not real comfortable. I was debating just doing half the movie and watching the other half next weekend.

Then it started to rain so I abandoned it for now. I'll finish it up next weekend hopefully.

I'm going to try my luck in the casino. First leg was a success just got to try not to blow it all this leg. 🙂

He asked if I wanted him to add oreos. Yes please. Yum.

Nice late night snack and better at portion control than playmakers lol.

I resisted the urge to crawl in ny bed and went to see the comedy show at 1030. I made reservations but they didn't check still light capacity so no reservations needed yet.

Now I'm giving into the urge. Back in the room gonna stare at the TV until I fall asleep. Goodnight everybody.

I am just catching up on the thread.  As Jam has said, the internet has been very spotty and I finally gave up trying.

I saw that someone mentioned a cabin under Izumi.  I would be careful of cabins in that area.  The reason is that the Schooner Bar is right next to Izumi which means music late into the night and people stomping their feet, etc.  If you are a light sleeper, I believe you would be bothered.

Casino was busy this evening.....lots of 'younger' (i.e. 30's - 40's) players.  Guess it is because of the weekend.

Captain said 1,400 guests on board.  Still does not feel crowded

Its official, I'm not a fan of Promenade view rooms. I thought it would be ok because the curtains overlap leaving no gap for light to spill in. But when I turned off the lights the lights from the Promenade illuminated my room.

Nothing bad and I think most people would not be bothered but to me you lose the best benefit of an inside room, total darkness.

Next weekend I'm in a balcony. Must have been an early booking when they were still giving me balconies. I miss my cave already 🙂

Heading out into the land of the living for a small bite to hold me until chops opens.

In Nassau today....three ships in port:  Mariner, Adventure, & Brilliance.  Adventure is going in for a face lift soon so Mariner will be gaining approximately 100 crew members from there.  It seems like soon there will be a 1:1 ratio of crew to guests.

Every week Brilliance has been sitting off the coast in Coco Cay.  She is probably in port to re-provision.

Tonight is top tier party which is always a nice event.  An FYI....champagne, mimosas, and some fruity drink are still offered and don't count off the drink allowance.

Also, it is 'Dress Your Best' night - seems like that is Royal's new term instead of 'formal night'.

Marcelo said 1300 at the show last night. Likely revised down due to having to deny boarding to some. Either way thats between 42-45% capacity which is still pretty light.

Agree it does not feel crowded but it is the first time I've seen lines form in some busier spots like cafe Promenade and guest services.

Its also the first time I've shared elevators. I even got to break the 5 people to an elevator rule once. What a rebel 🙂

Adventure is pulling out right now. I'm glad we were able to take on their crew to keep them working. Marcelo said 1100 crew so we are indeed at almost 1:1 and probably will be if capacity goes back down for the next cruise.

I'm just platinum and my paperwork says the top tier was suspended due to health protocols. Perhaps I will start a thread about the mistreatment of platinum by RCCL.

Or maybe I will just take advantage of the double points and be diamond when I get on Mariner on 10/22. Yes I think I will do that instead.

Last cruise at noon on a sea day i took a survey of the pool deck to answer a question about chair arrangements.

Today at noon while in port at Nassau the solarium is just as busy and the pool busier with I'd say 95% of the seating taken. I guess I'm not the only one  with no interest in Nassau.

Paperwork lied.....there is has been a top tier event on every sailing since early September (we got on 9/6).  They have limited the event to D+ and Pinnacle (not certain of Diamonds are invited or not) for spacing issues.

That's what I figured. Just suspended for the lower top tier lol. I've got a bottle of cheap champagne Carnival gifted me that I need to drink anyway. I'll have my own top tier party. In my room I am the senior cruiser onboard 😆

Tomorrow I will be boarding Mariner of the Seas for 7 days. I plan to go live from the ship and take you along with me.

If you have any questions ask away and I will do my best to get back with an answer.

In the meantime here is a link to the cruise I just got off of on Carnival and a review from my weekend on Freedom of the Seas back in July.

Is it possible to use wifi calling with your cellphone when out at sea?  My phone has a wifi calling feature.  I was planning on shutting everything down but I thought it might be nice to check in with the wife while I'm sipping on a cold one and staring out at the sea.

We were able to use wifi calling on freedom last week.

who is your captain? Was he right about the weather on departure?! LOL

He was definitely not right lol. He also said no rain in Nassau but the compass disagrees with him and looking at the clouds right now I think I am going to disagree with him as well.

Its been a beautiful day out so far but I see storm clouds approaching.

I'll get his name next time I walk by the sheet down by guest services 🙂

Trivia was popular today. It hit capacity and every other table being blocked off went out the window and it still filled up.. A lot of people arrived saw it was full and left. I've never seen trivia so popular.

I'm at Jamie's now for dinner. The view outside is nice and the service is outstanding so far.

Is this ala carte pricing?  I generally avoid Johnny Rockets even on land because i was never impressed with their food, but chili cheese dogs rock!!!

Its a flat fee. With the dining  plan its included in my cost already. I doubt I would ever pay to eat here. It was good though, just not something I would pay for on a cruise.
