Category matter?

We are Category 2A- Veranda.

Does the category actually matter or just refer to the area of the ship? Thanks!

The 2A category is the top tier cabins for the 2 series. It’s the location that is better for that cabin type.

Categories 1A down to 2D are all basic veranda cabins, and yes, the location is what matters as much as anything, although restricted views and other factors influence the specific category as well.  With arguable differences, 1's are better than 2's, and a 1A would be better than 1D.  Check the deck plans and the spreadsheet and notes here at CC (top sticky threads for this forum) for details on many of them.

2A Balcony without obstruction. Midships.

 

1A with angled balcony on the ’hump’ (midships).

No obstruction.

u - I Am not sure if this qualifies as a 1A No obstruction, I would think that a clothes line would qualify the cabin as a 2D....LOL
