We live in Pittsburgh, PA and there are clinics here that give IV's, mainly for hangovers. Used to be something that was a Vegas thing!!! There are even mobile clinics that come to your home!!!

I see the Carnival something up ahead of us. Maybe the Horizon?

We boarded the Horizon shortly after you left the Scarlet Lady.  I looked for you as our shuttle drove past the VV terminal, but I’m sure you were gone long before then.  I took this photo later that afternoon, as we left the port.

So glad you had an awesome cruise. The food definitely looked a step up from other cruise lines. Thanks so much for the review - I loved following along. Miss cruising and your review had me feeling like I was right there - We are going on a Norwegian cruise in December- last cruise we took was Nov 2019 so I am

counting the days. We travel with my 12 year old so no VV for me - yet !
So I am also a margarita lover - I saw your favorite on the cruise was one without the agave syrup/ sweetener  - I typically order mine with patron , fresh lime and triple sec . What is truly your favorite margarita of all time?

#1 favorite margarita of all time? Mezcalitos on the East Side of Cozumel... The perfect balance of flavors, even though I know how strong these little things are. #2 would be The Liquor Box, AKA: Welcome to Miami Bar, also on the East Side of Cozumel... They squeeze the fruit straight in front of you...

@sid_9169 quick question for you. There were a lot of comments from the folks in England about the awful black hand soap in the bathroom. So far no one has commented about it since the ship has come to Miami. Did the get rid of it? Thanks!

Yes, there is a bar of black soap in the bathroom... Seems to be pretty good quality stuff, and I brought back a bar of it for home. There's also some really great shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower made by a boutique company on New York called Red Flower... So good that I ordered some for myself at $36 a bottle...

Finally caught up and finished your latest report Sid, I celebrated my 52nd birthday and went away for a couple of days while you were sailing.

As always, you have written an informative, entertaining report that has me rather keen to try VV if they ever decide to cruise out of Australia.

I'm loving all the live reports, our government seems determined to keep cruise ships out of our waters for ever at the moment!

I ended up getting a credit for $174 from Virgin Voyages refunded to my credit card... It's the money that I had originally paid over and above the value of the free cruise from the Shipload of Love contest. Originally, when they first informed me of my downgraded cabin situation, they said that "you're getting a hundred dollars in Sailor Loot for your trouble, and not a penny more"... Of course, that was the night that I ended up spending hours on the phone with them trying to get some kind of resolution. At least they made good on their promise to refund the money. I'm actually in the process of possibly booking another Virgin Voyages cruise around Christmas:) Stay tuned...

Glad they gave you a refund Sid.  Did they ever compensate you for the non functioning safe?  Also, did you by chance see a spa menu with prices?  Since I'm asking questions.. was there by chance any self service laundry?  We will be sailing on Scarlet soon.   Cheers!

We're on the Scarlet Lady on Dec 19 - Dec 24.

On other vessels in the past, we've found it to be less expensive and less children. I assume it's because most people don't start their Christmas vacations until closer to Christmas.

I don't know if it's just standard procedure for all Virgin cruise, but I've been offered to bid on upgrades for most every cabin type on the ship.

Level Upgrade Your Voyage

Upgrading your home at sea has never been easier.

All you have to do is make an offer to add to your original booking price, sit back and keep a very casual eye on your inbox. If your offered price is accepted, you'll be billed for your Level Upgrade — complete with sweet new digs at sea. If it isn't accepted, your original booking stays the same. No stakes. Just winners.

sid_9169 I was so tempted to book my cruises in December around Christmas but being as short staffed as my casino department is I want to be available so folks can maybe get days off in the vicinity of Christmas.

So December 1st I leave and don't get back till the 10th. Several other travel agents are on both segments so we will be picking each other's brains. With all of your reviews you should think about being a TA.

Have not been on CC in a while, but had to read this review. VV sounds wonderful except the part about no beverage package.  Thank you for the wonderful review and congrats on the condo! Didn't your original thread begin with you looking for an apt.? Now you have come full circle to the joys of home ownership!

Yes, I've been through this three times now in the past few years... Thanks for reading:)

Many thanks for the 🎸ROCKSTAR 🤘report! We booked a Virgin Voyage February 2019 as soon as they were available and canceled that June. You, good sir, are a way better person than me because I would never have made it past a 2nd-let alone 6th!-rebooking!

I’m happy to see that you were treated to a culinary adventure of a lifetime on her maiden voyage. I’ll probably wait a few more months for them to smooth out their app issues myself before I set foot onboard.

Cheers! 🥂

Today, I realized that I completely forgot to add my traditional "thank you" to each and every one of you who followed along on my adventure... I had to go straight back to work after getting back in town, then came down sick recently (***not corona virus) Someone had compiled a list, but it wasn't "in order of appearance" (as is also "tradition"), so it'll take me a bit longer to get that together. I will also add some final thoughts about my experience, and try to answer any questions, if anyone has any. In summary: I was truly in awe of the ship, the food, the service, and most importantly, the crew of the Scarlet Lady... The stuff that I went through trying to get on board is now but a memory, and I have an entirely new outlook on Virgin Voyages. I can't wait to be on board again in 208 days!!!...
