Did you notice in the ‘gorgeous water’ photo you posted in post #29, that you also captured a pod of dolphins?! I did not notice that! We always see dolphins in Galveston at sail away, but I wasn't able to get a picture quick enough.
live2cruise2011 Posted September 29, 2021 #52 Share Posted September 29, 2021 Thank you so much for the review…. I’ve been daydreaming of cruising in vivid color since as I type this I am sitting at the hospital on the island with my 24 yr old admitted. As soon as life settles we will be booking but for today I moved from 130 days away from the dream to 864 days but I’m sure she will be worth the wait and maybe tomorrow I will venture to Sunflower for a change from all this hospital food….

It was rainy that morning and the ship was really rocking. It didn't bother us, but we noticed there were fewer people at breakfast. You could feel the motion more strongly in the aft MDR. Seaday Brunch in the Scarlet MDR again. I ordered the skillet cake. It's a giant pancake with various sauces. I wish there had been more of each sauce. Also, the little tiny marshmallows were an odd addition. They tasted good, but seemed out of place. I'm really glad they kept the banana cream pie from the old menu! After brunch, we went to the Encore theater for Q&A with our cruise director, Deon. His signature phrase was "Hi-De-Ho, I've gotta go. See you, thank you, love you, Carnival Dream". Quite a mouthful every time he made an announcement! He seemed to really love his job and brought a lot of positive energy to the role. Later that afternoon, it was time for tea. This one of my favorite things, and I'm so glad Carnival still continues to offer it. The desserts were the best we had on the entire cruise. The violin trio played while we were enjoying our treats, and it was just a nice way to spend part of the afternoon. Do they talk about anything at tea time or just tea and pastries and everyone is just on their own. Thanks in advance.

MzShae Posted September 30, 2021 #61 Share Posted September 30, 2021 I really enjoyed your review. You & your husband are a cute couple. My husband and I married in our thirties too, even though we've known each other since we were kids! We love the Dream & have been on her 4 times, but when she was in New Orleans.

TravelGirlinDallas Posted September 30, 2021 Author #65 Share Posted September 30, 2021 Towel animal lineup!! I always hope that I'll be allowed to accumulate my towel animals over the course of the week and take a pic with them all together, but I've never had a steward yet who didn't confiscate the one from the night before. I took individual pics of all of them, though. I like that he used actual googly eyes instead of little bits of paper.
