Yes, arrival times need to be adhered to.  Diamonds and Platinums that arrived too early were complaining because there was no place for them to wait.  Apparently, it has to do with covid protocols.

On a Sept Mardi Gras, the diamond lounge was empty and we waited for our zone to be called in the main terminal area which was extremely crowded and disorganized.  Waiting in a smaller separate room that had less passenger density would have been, IMO, safer for COVID transmission prevention

BS.....Another example of using Covid as an excuse.  Why should Platinums and Diamonds be denied the perk that they earned, yet anyone that paid for a suite gets priority status.  If Covid is truly the reason, then suite holders should be lumped in with Platinum and Diamonds.

A crappy luggage tag and a generic 2021 pin.  More worthless perks just like the free brunch drink and bottle of water that are worthless since I pay for Cheers.

The one perk I do utilize is taken away as well, priority embarkation, and Covid is used as the excuse.

Go to the casino cashier and request it.  If a slot player they will put $25 fun play in your casino bank.  If table player you can get fun play chips. You can cash out any winnings from the $25 but not any of the fun play dollars.

As usual, different ships do different things.  On YouTube, Paradeejay, who are both Diamond were on the Miracle in Alaska and when they approached the casino cage, instead of them each getting 25 in fun play chips, they each got 25 in hard cold cash.

We were both given the chips on our Horizon cruise in August. Would have taken the cash if offered. 😎

They originally cited the reason as because there would be too many D and P cruisers to support first boarding on the first day. That said, I've been on two cruises since they resumed (I'm Diamond). For each, the Diamond and Platinum parties had no more or fewer people in attendance than other cruises I've taken, but that was at reduced capacity so the D/P ratio was probably a bit higher than on pre-COVID cruises. On the Magic in August they offered both D and P early disembarkation on the last morning, but on the Pride in September they only offered it to Diamond. (There were about 10 of us in the waiting room that morning.)

On our recent Magic cruise there were 56 of us Diamonds and 300 Platinum .  I often think Carnival was on the verge of modifying ( removal of perks )the loyalty program just before Covid took place.

I actually really like the new pins. Im wondering what they did with the leftover 2020's they made. I dont know if it would be possible but if they ever sold them as a set id buy one 🙂

They need a Platinum Plus category since the disparity is so great going from 75 to 200 points.  There are only two platinum perks I care about and one of them has been eliminated because of Covid.
