What to do after an early flight into FLL?

My flight arrives at FLL at 8:45am this Friday (day of cruise). Assuming we have our luggage by 9:30am or so, I'm guessing that if we went straight there, we would arrive at the port a bit too early to check in. Does anyone have an idea for what we can do for an hour or so prior to going to port, taking into account that we will have full size suitcase with us? Thanks for any thoughts!

Take a taxi, Lyft or Uber and have breakfast. Nothing fancy for us so we enjoy Lester's Diner.

Have seen many there with luggage...no problem.

Uber over to the Ann Kolb Nature Center and take a short canoe or kayak trip through the mangroves.

 

Go to the Floridian on Las Olas for some Bimini bread French Toast.

 

Ask your driver to go up the Fort Lauderdale beach and return via Las Olas.

Once you get your luggage from baggage claim, I would be hard pressed to find anywhere to "just relax" at the airport.

I'd just get my luggage and head to the port.  If you're really hungry you could always stop for breakfast at one of the cafe's or coffee shops on 17th.
