Ā Thank you in advance. Ā Probably too early for anything definitive for February yet. Best to keep checking Royal Caribbean website for updates - current protocols released this week and so far - https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2813065-grandeur-barbados-protocols-released/#comment-62146325 Edited November 14, 2021 by c-leg5
viking30 Posted November 16, 2021 #3 Ā Share Posted November 16, 2021 So I read the link above, thank you. But it is confusing. So can I book a local tour online through a local company before I go or do I have to wait and book from the local operator in the enclosed port area? (this is how it is worded) Ā
mkam2821 Posted November 19, 2021 #4 Ā Share Posted November 19, 2021 Celebrity's websites states " **Vaccinated guests only are approved to debark and tour the restricted port shopping area, as well as take a local government approved tour of the island." the question is how do we know what's a local government approved tour? kjenaz Posted November 24, 2021 #5 Ā Share Posted November 24, 2021 We were there last week and it appeared that if you booked with a driver in the port area it was approved.

teacherman Posted December 10, 2021 #7 Ā Share Posted December 10, 2021 I had a catamaran booked for January 24.Ā They contacted me to say they could not takes cruise passengers.Ā BUT I have now been contacted again to say MAYBE after January 1 things might change,Ā It appears they are working with the government to become "approved".Ā Ā Maybe schedule with them and get your name on a list.Ā Ā We had put down a 50% deposit that will be returned if it cannot happen. Ashland Posted December 16, 2021 #8 Ā Share Posted December 16, 2021 I believe you can now book your own excursions. Glory Tours is one we've done and they have a good cancellation policy if needed.
Froufie Posted December 28, 2021 #9 Ā Share Posted December 28, 2021 How would you know if a tour company is 'government approved'? Ā Would hate to find out the hard way upon returning to the ship? Ā
