One category upgrade

The cruise that the OP is discussing appear to be a September 24, 2022 cruise on the Millennium.  They mention 2A and 2 B category.  When I look at veranda cabins for this cruise I see V2, V3, etc.

has Celebrity change the classifications?

Yes they are renaming the categories.  Prime Veranda, Deluxe Veranda, Ultra Deluxe, renaming  some Sky Suites to Aqua Sky Suites

If you have a refundable deposit and the price dropped, why not just cancel and book again at the higher category ?  Use your one category bump at the tone of rebooking. 

 

Oh, because I have nearly $1000 in obc from cruises that were ultimately canceled that were chartered.  I would lose that if I canceled and rebooked.

Refundable deposit -- Edge & Beyond.

Booked (with a TA) a C2 with a C3 rate at the time of booking.

Received twice price drops on the C3 rate since then.

The refundable v. non-refundable question hasn't been mentioned....

 

If the rate has dropped significantly, may be ask to upgrade to a higher/pricier category (at the same rate, of course)?

Thank you.  When I look at this particular cruise, I also see V3 (partial view), V2, and V1.  Are all veranda cabins in each of those categories the same price?  Like all V2s are the same price?

 

I do not see any reference to 2A, 2B, etc. categories.  I assume that’s are no longer valid.

Cruise Raider is referencing those order categories for their current situation.

 

I am just curious.
