We are booked on the Summit on 4/11.  Our first port was changed from Key West to Nassau.  I keep checking the cruise planner to book a celebrity excursion so we can get of the ship (if it comes to that) BUT nothing as been loaded for that day.  Does this typically happen? Will l have to wait until we are on the ship to book? Or just keep checking the website randomly?

This happened on our 3/12 Reflection cruise as well and it took about a month before anything was added for the new port (Bimini). With all of the changes between what ports and countries will allow cruise ships and I am sure tour operators are dealing with, it could take some time. Just keep checking the website.

Did you see any interesting excursions for Bimini? History related? All-inclusive beach? A great house or botanical garden? Hiking?

We are still waiting to see Bimini excursions for our Equinox cruise in a few weeks on January 21st. The port changed from Grand Cayman to Jamaica and is now Bimini as of early December.

Thanks for your replies.  I am super type A and like to get everything done as soon as I can.

Me, too, but it's definitely not a very useful trait in the current state of the cruise industry!  We were on a 'restart' cruise where most all of the usual info was posted late.

When I do a land vacation, which is way more frequent than we cruise, I am the same way.  EVERYTHING needs to be lined up.  But whenever we cruise, we are just cest la vie, has always worked out for us, though we've not cruised in 2 years.

For now it's only a beach day. I hope they are able to add more as we get closer to our sail date.
